Further Updates - Payment Arrangements

The Company is pleased to confirm that shareholders will receive 4.8 US dollar cents per share, after costs being an income from the distribution of licensing money.

Well that last update was just total nonsense... The excuses just get less and less credible.

The last tiny embers of hope of any kind of payout from this have been extinguished now.

Fingers crossed we don't get a "Proceeds of both deals will need to be paid at the same time" kind of update.. That arrives and I think you'd probably have to say this is never happening... GLA

After persistent follow-ups since mid-November, we have finally received a response from Cloudtag. They have acknowledged the complexity of the distribution process and are currently collaborating closely with the Paying Agent to expedite matters.

Please rest assured that we will continue to monitor the situation closely. The Paying Agent is expected to reach out directly as the distribution process unfolds.

Can anyone explain this in layman's terms please?

"The Company understands the licensing agreement to be an income event not a capital event for tax purposes"

I'm aware we haven't had anything yet, but IF it does come good then I'd like to understand this line.

This is a message I had last year relating the the tax forms mentioned in the latest update as I hold other US stocks:

Re: W-8BEN (/W-8BEN-E / W-8IMY / W-9)

Thank you for submitting your form. Your account has been updated and you are now able to trade and hold US stocks. Please visit our overseas share dealing page to search for listed stocks.

This form allows Hargreaves Lansdown to claim a reduction in the level of US tax on your dividends and interest from US shares depending on your personal circumstances. Withholding tax rates can currently be reduced from 30% to 15%, or to 0% if the holding is held in a Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP). Please remember that tax rules change.

This form is valid for three calendar years after the year in which it was signed, and Hargreaves Lansdown will inform you before your form expires.

To check when your form expires, or to submit a new form:

Log into your account

Select the 'Account Settings' tab

Select 'Share Dealing and Live Prices'

From here you will be able to see if you are eligible to deal US shares and update your form if required.

Hubba - I'm not expecting to be contacted by an agent, I'd just expect the money in my HL account. Won't believe it until I see it, but fingers crossed anyway.

Itll be pandemonium on here the minute there's a verified payout - logic would dictate that those of us with shares he'd in nominee accounts should be the first ones to see a payment as basically we're the 'low hanging fruit'

My shares still sit in my Hargreaves Lansdown account so hopefully if there is a payout mine should be pretty straightforward and towards the beginning of the process

Does anyone think we'll get an announcement this week? Given the timescales mentioned in the previous one I don't see the need (unless there's a delay in the process)

I'm not expecting to be contacted by a broker - My shares are with Hargreaves Lansdown and I'd just expect the money to be paid into that account.
