The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Simple, you slated the company when you weren't invested and you're trying to find every positive angle going now you're invested. Each to their own Mc but those sort of tactics aren't my bag.
Mcadder, Roger is good people, and a lot more consistent than you in his posting history ;) You missed his sarcasm bud....read it again as he was defending you rather than au contraire.
Ball drop stimulation sounds like Bust Betty from the corner breaking in teenage boys :s
Lol SBP I do like that analogy....will remember it for other contexts. Sincerely hope you're wrong in this case, of course. There's time yet for our chicken to lay a golden egg but she's fast approaching menopause....
Same here WW...had a reply at midnight on one occasion. Surely natural follow-up is to call if you don't get an email response?
Joe, whilst 100% isn't to be sniffed at, it wouldn't make much of a dent in the paper loss a lot of us are sitting on. This could really do with a few incremental rises before the biggy......at the moment of course any speculation is cloud cuckoo land until and if a deal finally arrives!
Fair play joe...apologies, for some reason I thought your name appeared same time as the others but obviously not in that case. Happy reading anyway!
smokin, I think you were one of the names that popped up off the back of a coordinated ramp a couple of weeks ago. Credit to you for at least sticking around and not disappearing into the ether like the other pseudos. As wob says, however, if you've taken a punt then might be worth going back through all the RNSs to get a better idea of the state of play....
What a ridiculous post about Simon being on leave, marbur.......something tells me you don't live by all these rules you expect others to live by.....
Haven't tried wob....maybe whoever deleted all the #nuog twitter posts has deleted the shares too! smokin, I've had my own share of negative thinking of late but yes, marbur's strategy does seem a little self-defeating.....
smokin, if Nuog had a penny for every time marbur had been asked that then we'd be fully funded to year end.....
Roy, nothing private about it, Simon's number is publicly available. I agree that some of it could be communicated in more detail in wider messages but there will always be elements you only glean from direct contact; that is one of the reasons for having an IR officer imo. I
I haven't reported some kind of seismic shift in my feelings following a single telephone conversation....the share price is still at uncomfortably low levels and, like many, I know better now than to suspect something is coming without concrete evidence. Call yourself and have your own list of questions ready.....we all have different perspectives and by speaking directly you can at least put some of your personal queries and judge the response accordingly. Atb
Also sounds like we may be approaching it in a slightly different way to other first mover(s) so that presumably supports our offering as well. Time will tell I guess....
It seems that first mover advantage and bringing the various elements together are the USP as opposed to anything unique. Nothing wrong with that but at least I have a better understanding of the MFDev G2W offering.
As Sharelock said, plenty of potential fields out there so competition shouldn't be one of the main challenges. Agree with Wob and would say it was a positive conversation but I have felt like that before so possibly best not to read anything into my interpretation....only way to judge is call for yourselves. Atb
Thanks Sharelock that's helpful, although I wasn't looking for the USP of G2W as I think it probably sells itself as a nifty concept. I was looking for the USP of MFDev over other companies who could latch onto the concept just as easily and most likely with deeper pockets. Until I can catch up with Simon I'll settle for the fact that they seem to have first(ish) mover advantage and are going for fields that aren't necessarily targets of current competitors ie Tigre.
Thanks MM....that's all I'm looking for, some kind of discussion around what our niche is. I find it hilarious that we've gone from not being able to discuss target field names last year for the marginal field strategy supposedly due to NDAs, to now not even being able to discuss what our MO as a company is! And this new moral high ground from the people who spent most of last year giving us the 'nudge, nudge, wink, wink' that a deal would be delivered by X date......
*less obvious fields than other companies....
Sharelock, is your understanding then that part of their USP with G2W is going after less obvious fields then other companies might see as primary targets? I'm waiting for Simon to call me back but I don't think a bit of open discussion on what's actually being offered by us would do any harm to this discussion board. I recall reading in one of the articles that MFDev are seeking to bring G2W to smaller fields so maybe that's where we have a niche over potential competitors?
Fair play Wob...would take anything at the moment, even if not breakthrough news, just to get SP back up a bit. Any rise from these levels would need to be enormous for many to break even I suspect. Would be good to get a bit higher before anything breakthrough.....that's assuming there's actually substance behind all of it this time of course.
Still find it amazing that we can be bent over and destroyed by Novum and the result is magically the new trading range and therefore value the market places on the company....that's AIM for you I guess, the fecking wild west!
Get what you're saying SBP but there must be more to it for Siemens to be this public about the collaboration and for MFDev and Nuog to be comfortable enough tweeting abut Siemens, like today, without fear of reprisals if they were doing so via a one-sided or non-existent relationship. Best thing is to phone Simon, I guess, although it would save a lot of speculation if the information was shared on these boards....
