The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Yeah, nice but waiting for counter bid. More value here. Agreed maybe as protects BoD jobs....
Predictably bad results as the interim ceo makes provisions and bad comment on prior state of business. Usual stunt so he can appear hero later. I see some big unit trust purchases have gone through at 770-ish, and I h ave followed, buying more. Good value now and maybe takeover to unlock real value...
Thanks. Seems you are into BUR in a big way. I thought I read that a New York court also made difficulties with funded legislation. So this may be more than a black swan and I suggest it is predictable that these adverse rulings will arise again. The risk lies in the potential domino effect I think.
...and I see Numis reiterated their buy rating with a 200p target. On the way...
Well, the trading results were very good but the announcement carried some notes of caution. Investors Chronicle then wrote them up not very positively. The analyst was nervous about the necessity for price increases as a result of higher input costs. But that is true of competitors also. I think he overlooks that the vast majority of sales are on long term credit, so the small cost increases are very small when converted to the monthly payment. This industry and SFE in particular have a strong commission biased sales engine that wont be blown of course by a few pennies more on monthly payments. The pull back is overdone imo and a good opportunity for me to add more. They may flatline until next trading results as is often the way with Aim but the yield and growth prospects are still attractive- to me anyway!
Maybe yet more of the Leaver family stake sell off today? Until this large overhang is eradicated the sp will drift imo. dyor
At least 200k of the 'sells' today was a buy! Unreliable data
....Has always been a weakness here. All the financials/stats lead to a higher sp so long as management is competent. And now it drops 4% because they say 'build production' is lower than expected in December. But no explanantion as to why. The CEO needs to grip this up fast and get production back on track pdq if he is to prove he should stay in his job.
I agree. good buying opportunity and surpsrised sp is flat...so far. An over looked company which seems well managed with little downside and plenty odf upside. Unless you think student numbers will decline. the opposite seems more likely.
Extremely detailed and positive write up of OCL today explaining why the overly wide discount to nav should narrow shortly. Hope ST is correct in his reasoning.
This is a real hidden gem. very detailed and glowing write up just now by Simon Thompson, exposing how undervalued it is.
Very full positive write up in Investors Chronicle just now.
So Maya have this big sharebuyback program to drive up the share price they say. Yesterday they bought 2000! 2000!!!! Thats less than most self respecting PI's would buy. Whats their game??
Just noticed a direcctor unloaded 1.4m gbp (200k shares) on 14/11. Maybehe doesnt expect them to be much higher short term....
These guys are certainly active! Another acquisition today in the financial trading sector which brokers expect to be immediately earnings enhancing. After 21 October acauisition in Bingo markets. And also a big capital payout to shareholders. I am enjoying the ride here and wish I had more tickets to ride!
Looks like Standard Life made a big sale (over Im pounmds) 10/11 but cant see the exact volume. Not a good sign though. Thoughts anyone?
Well it was 687 on 21 july but as I am sure you know I meant a good investment from today, not looking in the rear mirror. Sales of 15 million gbp today, mostly in 3 transactions, underline my point.
This will look good until Andrew Leaver and family sell down more of their huge holdings. Shame this overhangs what could be a good investment.t
