Find it very curious that UBS, just one broker, can move our share price in one day by 4%+ by downgrading through a communication separate to the daily Alliance News London Ratings. Next were upgraded and do appear on the Alliance News daily, but not BT !! Strange !! Consensus, which UBS admit, is contrary to UBS's "beliefs" !! I wonder are UBS buying the shares at the same time ?!!

Agree with Weirdpal re Labour and CGT as many nowadays own shares, not just the very rich (I would define as over £100m net worth) and if Labour are serious about their policies then a Wealth Tax around 65% for marginal earnings above £10m per annum and around 5% p.a. of net worth for latter above £100m. Also, raid the UK-based Russian assets as Russia can't legitimately complain having 'taken' billions£ of UK company assets !!

Reader61, I suspect current pullback is to take some profits and reallocate to Oil and Gas, Airplane Travel and Gold/Resources stocks as these latter three seem to be trending higher now.

Sam4224, if my divs were late twice, or very late, I take the opportunity to insist on some compo, which helps focus their minds a bit ! These brokers never like a complaint to the Regulator as it costs them more in admin if nothing else !!

Blacksteel, and Brokers, I'm with ii, do not generally give the best exchange rates probably, and I'm guessing, because they are not a bank and share more exchange profits between themselves and the bank, v Revolut for example.

Undercrackers, personally I feel these union settlements are semi-corrupt, eg if they got double their wage would they accept it without feeling guilty ? How much extra do workers have to receive before they feel any guilt, if ever ?!! Anyway, hopefully EZJ pass any extra costs on to Joe Public !!

Was wondering should I sell a slice of BAB soon as it's in a resistance range, but today's Israeli strike on Iran's Embassy in Syria convinces me to wait for a higher price !! Anything can happen in the Middle East, or indeed in Ukraine, so even though tempting to sell, as I've decent gains to date, best to leave it climb more. What do you think ?
