LawStudent95, looks to me that there's a lot of fake news and manipulation (what's new ?!!) going on with BP shares specifically. Per usual, nothing can easily can be proven, but current BP price totally illogical v current and futures Brent prices !!

LawStudent95, many on here haven't sold when BP price was above 600p on the premise that it would go higher to maybe 630p+ because the ME War would drag on and the Brent price would stay higher for longer. However, it looks as if significant holders were and are impatient and sold and are still selling because they don't believe the War and its positive effects on Brent oil price will stay for a period longer than some of us believe. There are also those who believe UK Govt will bring in an EPL on Global profits of UK resident oil and gas companies though that'll expedite BP's departure from the UK. I believe that a relatively higher Brent price at $90+ will exist for next 12 mnths at least thus allowing BP to report higher earnings and lower debt levels.
