All, Daily Traded Volumes - I'd really appreciate some wisdom here - what kind of avg % to Issued Volume is the norm and why does an sp move more than normal if volumes traded are much lower than the norm ? Is it MM manipulation, eg pulling sp down for some other agenda, etc...?

Hello all, admit I've much to learn about significance of Volumes Traded daily re Share Price movements but CMC's sp seems to move a lot more than one would expect from the volumes traded. Any thoughts ? I hold £10k cost at 282p avg long-term and will topup if goes low enough. CMC is currently very profitable and has great potential in maybe 2 years to have diversified materially into share dealing investment accounts balanced nicely with its cfd business. Maybe even a take-over target ? Solid business.

These price flash crashes must be mistaken inputs by market makers or the like. There's no way that such an instant large drop and recovery could be otherwise. Remember the 10 minute large drop in Procter & Gamble shares a few years ago when a fat fingered trader input a sale of x million with extra zeros in error !!

Berenberg does have a 200p sp target as well as their HOLD, thus target is 33p (20%) higher than current sp of 167p.... IAG, holding three national carriers and with economies opening up, is strongly viewed as one that will survive so no question of it failing. If there's a RI then so be it, I'm subscribing anyway and look forward to a healthy profit in the medium term if not sooner.

IAG do need to start charging more for their flights though. The silly low amounts charged on some flights, my son got one from Venice to Athens for I think €15, they could at least double those and still get the business, after all fuel is rocketing in price. SSE is one of the purest Green stocks and EV use is increasing. Profits and B/S are healthy and Div also is in top 10%. Possibility of a bid as well from one of the Oilies.
Maybe the stock is considered too much a div stock whilst many want more growth ? But can't understand the sp compulsively dropping every chance it gets....should be £17 - £18 at least
