Woodetc: the opening line in the Mail on Sunday front page story says: ‘Ministers have ordered production of up to 50m new immunity tests....’ and goes on to say, ‘Last night, Health Minister Lord Bethell said ‘This is a story of how our manufacturers are stepping up to the challenge if Covid and I’m hopeful that their product will make an impact in our battle against this terrible disease’

Sounds like confirmation to me...... and the article is apparently being retweeted by the company so just awaiting the 7am RNS.....

In today’s Coronavirus update Sir Patrick made a point of emphasising that there are several clinical trials going on to try and find out which is most effective and 1 of them has recruited 7000 patients and the results should be available in due course....... just wondering?!

How do they intend to get rid of the enormous amount of PPE that’s going to used during these extremely difficult times........ hmmmm..... think I might know where all the plastics could be disposed of......

With so much at stake and the secrecy of the trials I don't think the people in charge of the trials would use a standard Synairgen nebuliser for dosing patients.....it would give too much away

With the amount of research I and many others do (which does include some excellent comments on here) and with all the ducks seemingly being lined up (Chinese recommendation to use Interferon, Canadian doctors screaming that it should be used, Italian specialist seemingly recommending its use, etc, etc) it is very easy to forget some of the initial comments that have been written by official sources .....such as the University Hospital Southampton which posted this on their website on 18th March: 'Positive initial results from the 100 patient pilot phase could see the trial expanded to more hospitals, with Synairgen increasing production of the drug in parallel.'
We know that the testing IS now being tested in other hospitals....so, by inference, the initial trials must have been positive. Shares have an unfortunate habit of playing on your mind and I woke up this morning with a positive RNS collaboration agreement with AZN in my head......not ramping....just a gut feeling

And now it seems we have Gold as well! Judging a trade (especially a large one) by comparing the price at the 'time' of the trade is open to uncertainty since the declaration of trades can be delayed....sometimes for 1 or 2 days......to try and confuse investors (especially PI's!). Unless you are adept at using an accurate L2 system then it is impossible to say whether trades (especially large ones) are buys or sells. The better rule to stick to is 'Follow the money'......generally, if there are large trades going through then its a good thing since either someone is prepared to either Buy or Sell to somebody else who is prepared to Buy. This obviously doesn't always apply, for example, where a share has spiked and all the large trades are a small number of experienced investors selling, with the shares being taken up by a large number of inexperienced investors buying their small trades....

Hmmmm.....126,000,000 placing shares, priced at 1p, (15% of issued share capital) coming onto the market 4th May.....be careful here

The initial trial lasts 16 days....the results, according to our CEO, will take 6 weeks to analyse......whether an inital opinion comes out earlier is open to conjecture. With the enormous pressure to find treatments for this appalling worldwide disease then I feel it won't take 6 weeks......

Please note that TILS is due to be de-listing from AIM in 2nd quarter 2020 to be solely quoted on Nasdaq

Be careful here....the company has pretty large debts and, from the last Interim Report, 'Negotiations with the bank and pension trustee over the long-term funding position of the Group remain on-going, with no certainty that a satisfactory outcome will be reached'

Featured in today’s S. Times Money section. ‘Hidden science gems taking on the fight against corona’. Novacyt said it is supplying 21 NHS hospitals with covid-19 tests, boosting production with the help of Manchester based Yourgene health, and says it will soon be capable of producing 4m tests a month....’

From the end of today’s RNS: Insofar as it is possible, Feedback intends to offer Bleepa for free for the duration of the coronavirus outbreak.

I know SNG were founded by leading academics from Soton Uni, but is there an ongoing business relationship between SNG and the Uni? If AZN are going directly to Soton Uni then does that involve SNG?

Posted this message earlier regarding shares held in a Barclays Smart Investor account....it would seem that as long as you phone them and ask for a proxy vote then your vote will count and not just be taken into consideration for the 1 vote cast by Barclays for all their nominee account holders - anybody else been in contact with Barclays and have the same experience?
'I have just spoken to Tony at Barclays Smart Investor and I explained my worries about my individual vote not counting if my shares are held in a nominee account (after all, this is the future of the Company we are talking about here!).........I emphasised I wanted my own vote, he asked me my voting intentions ('No' for me) and he confirmed that this would be sent through as a proxy vote. He said that a list of votes is sent through at the end of each day to the third party counting authority. Being a cynical type I asked for evidence of my vote being cast (he understood the reasons) and he said he will raise that as a query to the Corporate Action team. Will await further news or anybody else's experience with this seemingly straightforward system with Barclays. Obviously not sure if this is the system with HL, etc..'

.....well if it does fall into administration then this might be the saga, propelled by 50000 or so angry Yorkshiremen, that finally spurs the FSA into action against the many crooked dealings in the financial markets ......
