Zero chance at present. Peace talks would only benefit Russians. Its full steam ahead for the Ukrainians. Only logical. Why the hell would stop the military momentum when they only way for Ukraine to get the country back is by war. No way the Russians are leaving voluntarily....for now.

The time for peace talks was the day before the invasion or a few days after before the world seen the Russians aren't very good at waging war.

David. its amateurish just to compare resource to resource. What about BoD/leadership, technical teams, jurisdiction, and the history of the company.

Resource means nothing, not god damn thing, ZERO unless you have the leadership. I would put leadership over resource any day as its the management that moves the project along. You can have a world class resource such as IRON and not make any progress, dilute the hell out of yourself and become a sub penny stock or can have a world class mining veteran such as Sir Mick leading the company (FAR) with set goals and deadlines.

Gold will never replace the world reserve currency, at this time being the dollar. There is a deficiency of multiples of 10000s in gold vs the amount of dollars in circulation, never mind all currencies in circulation. It just isn't technical feasible - period.

Would be fascinating to see the U.S decend into choas if that did happen. Being the U.S economy at stake, it would take world economy down with it into the dark ages. Not something we should be wishing for.
