MINING ACT 1978 - SECT 74A
74A . Report on significant mineralisation required for certain applications

(1) If an application for a mining lease is accompanied by the documentation referred to in section 74(1)(ca)(ii), the Director, Geological Survey shall give the Minister a report as to whether or not there is significant mineralisation in, on or under the land to which the application relates.

(2) For the purposes of preparing the report, the Director, Geological Survey may request the applicant to provide further information in relation to matters dealt with in the mineralisation report.

(3) The report shall be based solely on information contained in the mineralisation report and any further information provided by the applicant in response to a request under subsection (2).

(4) The Director, Geological Survey shall give a copy of the report to the mining registrar and the warden.

(5) The Director General of Mines shall ensure that the report is made available for public inspection at reasonable times.

(6) The regulations may require a person to pay a fee specified in the regulations —

(a) for inspecting the report; or

(b) for obtaining a copy of the report or any part of it.

(7) In this section —

mineralisation report means the mineralisation report that accompanied the application.

RE: MINERALISATION REPORT SUBMITTED FOR MINING LEASE (M47/1633)
On behalf of the Director, Geological Survey I have made a preliminary examination of the Mineralisation Report that forms part of this mining lease application.
The Director, Geological Survey requests, in accordance with Section 74A(2) of the Mining Act 1978, further information in relation to matters dealt with in the Mineralisation Report.
This information (as outlined below) is required before I refer the Mineralisation Report and the additional information to the Director, Geological Survey for a decision on whether significant mineralisation has been demonstrated to be present in, on or under the land to which the application relates. The Director, Geological Survey will then report to the Minister (section 74A(1)).

This was replied to back in July. I wonder if the Minister has the report yet?

In all fairness, the guesstimates for approval dates do seem to have been given in good faith. It's typical bureaucracy in action!!! Or inaction to be more accurate.

New CEO has a very different view of RNS content. Not a "not right " view.

People on here used to complain that BBG issued RNS's with little content and best guesses as to dates.

Rod told us in an interview he did not intend to do that.

Newmont have bid for GGP. Perhaps the mining giants are stiring and looking for growth??

Iron price is set on the Asian market...last night for us in UK..

Metals fell after USA opened. Poor employment/ productivity figures.

Not to say iron might buck the trend :-)

The UC trade at 16-30 was £73.75, This pushed the close of day down to -5%

It was bound to correct this am.

Volumes in UFO are very low. Most PI's are holding firm. Patience will give great rewards.
