The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Yes for clarification an Uncrossing Trade is not a buy or a sell. It’s when the sell price is equal to or higher than the buy price and a transaction automatically occurs.
I couldn’t predict now Ian, we are into the unknown, the share price is doing amazing things all thanks to WMH’s incredible growth in America. The American investors love WMH and they think it’s going to launch significantly from here. Definitely a hold. I don’t think a retrace is on the cards as it is seems significantly undervalued in America. I’ve never been in such a progressive share as this, it’s incredible. Amazing work being done by the management at WMH, flawless performance with both growth and streamlining.
but the £2.3bn market cap of WMH still looks very cheap given the assets held in America on top of the business at home and in Europe.
It is a brilliantly run company and hugely focused on growth. WMH have very healthy cash reserves too. Share price has to keep rising.
Would seem like the share price will open up at around 215p tomorrow. Would imagine that the share price would rise from there to 220p before falling back a little.
This does look very exciting news. We will definitely get past 210p tomorrow.
It’s really thanks to Covid 19 so many of us got into WMH at the crazy low prices, I don’t think many of us really had any idea how great WMH are doing as a business.
It’s impossible to say where this levels out as we are totally into the unknown, it’s all thanks to the brilliant work WMH have done in getting into the American sports betting market. Their market is enormous, they are sports mad and they are wealthy. You are going to see your shares worth £75k no doubt about it though.
Great to see you are doing amazing for your first share Ian.
With regards to other ‘investments’ I have £250 on Everton to make the top 4 at 16/1. It’s a market I watched a lot last year and it is a market that is very similar to a share price, Wolves last year were 16/1 at the start of the season, went out to 70/1 at one point and came all the way down to 3/1. I’m not saying Everton will make the top 4 but I believe they are going to have a really good season and at some point their odds will fall be 3/1 which is where I will start to consider laying the bet off.
Thanks Morbox. As you once said it’s a sickening feeling being out of a share you believe in, I know you experienced that. I want to trade these shares now as in sell, buy, sell, buy but that fortunately is not possible as it just keeps rising and rising.
I have been looking at other shares to invest in but there is no better share than WMH right now. The two I do have on my radar though are Aviva which are currently trading at 288 and pays very good dividends - I have no doubts that they will return to £5 a share medium/long term and Venture Life (VLG) trading at 88p but I think I missed the boat there. What is your most promising other shares at present?
Thanks Ian. I did buy back in at 186p, so that was a relief. We all know this is going to keep rising medium and long term. But as you said the share price did look a bit iffy for a few days before that huge rise again from 180p two days ago. You’ve done amazing, you’ve got a fantastic number of shares, you must be living seeing the value of your holding each day.
We were 90p behind them just 5 weeks ago.
I’m back in - at 186p, clearly not retrace happening here at present. Forward momentum remains.
I think you’re quite wise there. It will reach those levels so just need to sit and wait for it to happen.
You’ve done brilliantly Ian. It is scary being out but you’re out at a very good price - in fact near the highest point. The share price is falling a lot today. I’m just going to watch for a bit, I don’t know where we are at right now.
Well this shows how hard it is to predict. Yesterday afternoon it was like a rocket despite the markets down. Today the markets are up but the price is dropping to 186p. I can buy back in at the price I sold if it continues like this. I just don’t know where the share price goes short term from here.
I’m glad I was able to offer you good advice. I was unsure if a retrace was about to start and then yesterday afternoon the share price went crazy which suggests that it isn’t. It’s never easy to know when to sell out, that poor guy zx 300 blue sold out at 118p, there will be hundreds if not thousands who sold out in the 130s, 140s and 150s.
We are entering the unknown now. The share is in amazing shape and the American part of the business is worth a huge amount of money, WMH is still undervalued at this price.
Well wow look at the share price, £1.90 a share incredible. We have almost caught up with 888 who were 91p ahead of us a month ago. I’ll be back in very shortly. It was a strange week with the share price, I thought I did the right thing - it’s impossible to second guess the share price. I believe in WMH 100% medium and long term. I’ll be trading these shares for years to come. Sometimes I’ll do very nicely, other times I’ll get it wrong.
Yes it’s very fair point. I really thought with the markets today and not much happening this would be a quiet day. I see this article was posted on yahoo news this afternoon which may also be related to share price movement. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/boasting-22-return-equity-william-124425000.html
Well you are right there. I don’t mind losing out on some money as I am wanting to trade these shares now - sell, buy, sell, buy, etc. But very erratic share price in recent days.
The share price is going crazy this last hour. It’s just rocketed to 189p. Very intriguing.
I totally agree with the sentiment here, there is so much evidence to suggest a retrace is not due to start but today felt a perfect day to sell and just wait and watch what happens. The markets are all down and we’ve had more sells than buys yet the SP is holding up. This is a good sign. All of the other gambling stocks are really struggling today too. Just want to give it a bit of time to watch the SP and buys/sells before deciding what my next move is.
