Analysts claim the stock market always recovers after a recession and ends up higher than it ever was before, so just leave your money where it is. But that doesn't apply across the board. 10 years later and neither Lloyds or RBS have anything like recovered from the crash, and Aviva was £11 before the dot.com crash 18 years ago - it's still half that now. So yeah, some stocks recover others don't.

To be fair, I got out of all my financial stocks about 6 months ago, largely because of Brexit which I feel is very likely to cause a recession.

I'm worried about Jesus. I read in a book called "The Bible" that he's coming back and nobody will be spared his wrath, specifically shareholders of AIM-listed companies. I was wondering what effect people here think this would have on BMN's share price?

Alpha, I also assumed that flow batteries were not suitable for EV, but I saw a video recently in which a vanadium 'expert' was being interviewed and towards the end the interviewer dismissed the notion they could be used in EVs, but this was challenged. If I come across the link, will send it.

Flow batteries could be used in electric vehicles, it's not out of the question.

It will be the first opportunity (ever) to demonstrate clear profit, which is not only sizeable but rapidly increasing in relation to FeV prices.

I mean if you compare the Oil and FeV prices, if oil was going up like FeV, all the oilies would be rampant, yet BMN does nothing. That's a clear example of market and investor detachment.

It's definitely complicated Daisan. The corporate structure is certainly quite complex and if you know nothing about mining and minerals there's a lot to learn. For those that have built up a lot of knowledge over a period of years, it become comfortable to understand, but coming at BMN cold is likely to be pretty bewildering unless you're willing to put in a lot of time and effort. However, I think the company is aware of this. Shedding AfriTin and Lemur (I assume) will go some way to simplifying BMN and what it does, but how the company transmits information and publicizes itself also has to be greatly simplified.

I believe BMN is too complicated for general investors, and there's no black and white figures to confirm profitability, which will not show in the accounts until Sept. We are very, very lucky to have the likes of BBN, Alfa and others who can help provide such detailed insight and clarity, and even then it takes months to get your head around the terminology, industry, data and potential. Most investors want to make quick money, and although they could have done that here had they jumped on board 18 months ago, they're unlikely to have understood the story. I've tried to explain the potential of BMN to a lot of associates but none of them have invested. If BMN was a high street retailer, it would be much easier sell, but it's not. Maybe we should be grateful for that, it enables us to get in early - even though I got in relatively late at 8p.

Recent 200% rise attracted a lot of amateur day traders IMO who think they can make a quick buck with no understanding of BMN's long-term fundamentals or short-term news flow. No evidence for that of course, but that's what these piddling sell trades reek of.

Cheers BBN, as you say, BMN will be in a leading position to influence the pricing, especially as they scale up production. Even if it means reduced profits, they'll still be beyond our wildest dreams.

What's the risk of FeV prices becoming so high that vanadium no longer becomes an attractive proposition? Is it a case of industry HAVING to pay due to the deficit or will they start look at alternative minerals or sticking with lithium, particularly long-term, thus skewering VRFB adoption. As a producer, BMN can offer the best deal, but that doesn't make it market affordable if FeV prices run out of control. I believe FM touched on this in the webinar to calm investors, but would be nice to know what others think. Sometimes we need to tackle difficult questions head on.

Hi Nick, yes that's obviously true regarding the price range. I was more thinking that at some point in the future when they do choose to sell it will precipitate a similar loss in percentage terms and that's unavoidable. I also wonder if certain forewarned IIs hold back from investing, as that seemed to be the case with Erongo when the SP flatlined for months as they shed the shares.
