Regulator - yes o thought that initially but as CIGA were named and Abingdon not my assumption was the 10m for materials and 75 m for kits raised to abingdon were the UK RTC antibody LFT kits - and CIGA being named in the 20 billion one would be for something else - that something else i felt could be antigen kits and as ODX would never be in a position on their own to service an order the size it might be that maybe a deal would be done with consortium members to assist and CIGA to distribute along with antobody - just a thought anyway

And maybe the UK RTC will do Antibody test and Mologic Antigen - more able to meet capacity that way and the whole lot through CIGA - then the framework agreement would make sense not showing ODX individually

Dont think they are thinking small - we are already going up from 100k to 2.5 M - pretty dam impressive - taking capacity up too much and investing too much could be counter productive in the long term. Im pretty sure we will work with the whole uk trv and who knows we may produce even more - but i dont think people here realise whats involved in this sort or up scale - its massive - we were talking £2 a share when they were just talking 200k per week - om not greedy - this is massive

I do wonder if the Mologic Antigen test will come through the whole UK RTC as there is no way we can produce enough on our own. That way they too would go though CIGA. That would make sense to me and further strengthen the consortium

Not sure of he is good at smoke and mirrors - he just doesnt make wild promises he cant deliver i.e exact date and numbers . To be fair he is the mist non smike and mirrors guy - there is on AIM - no Snake oil salesmen

Cant see him wanting antibody at home test during lockdown - as people would feel they can break the rules hence IMO the MRHA delay - but it needs to come in now so we can get amazon or boots up and running and start manufacture ready for the end of lockdown - how good that people could check before visiting olds etc

Not necessarily true - 1st this is a partnership and there seems to be a reasonably good relationship - not everyone is trying to shaft the other.
But also - O spoke to Colin a while ago about this very subject - Mologic would primarily focus on Low and Middle income countries - which is there specialism. And was a condition of the money they rec'd from i think Gates Foundation for factory expansion. Either way - I dont think either Mologic or Omega could service the vast demand there will be on these tests (whilst also servicing their other clients)

Id also add - do the government realize how lead time works - at current capacity with all consortium member producing at the current agreed levels ot would take many many months to make enough tests for 1 each - even if we upped our capacity to 2 million a week and gave all our capacity to the consortium and all members just produced antibody kits - it would still take more than a month - get the orders in now - a magic want cant be used to make the tests appear when you want them - you must pre order and they are cheap enough for you to do so

For months now immunity has been shifting sands and the various reports have done nothing but add confusion and uncertainty to the population. Its only by getting people top feel confident that we can head towards a degree pf normality. Yes - Im sure we will have to follow rules for some time to come but we can do so whilst returning to a healthier population and functioning and successful economy

So my thoughts:

Whilst we argue about how long Antibodies last or how they give way to T Cells/Cell Memory - it seems extremely likely that if not immunity Antibodies do bring protection - so whilst we research this all further every one should be tested for antibodies which will aid the research - dont forget these tests are quick and extremely cheap

MRHA - They havent allowed home testing to be allowed so far and i cant see it being allowed for the next 4 weeks of lockdown. But if it was passed today it would enable orders to be placed, product to be manufactured and infrastructure put into place to after lockdown is lifted. People could start to self test - bringing confidence back before Christmas as well as safety for things like visits and nursing etc.

Beyond this how might testing etc look....

Vaccine - So everyone is tested before vaccine - If you have antibodies you are a lower priority and you are retested monthly until no antibodies. Once people are vaccinated then tested for antibodies to see that the vaccine has been effective - then tested monthly to check how long they last or when a booster is needed.

Anyone refusing a vaccine has that choice but if you do in future no financial support is given by the government - plus yo may be forced to quarantine.

Antigen testing - if negative you are fine to carry on as normal whilst following rules if positive you quarantine with support.

Antigen and antibody tests should be rolled out to all ports of entry and exit for obvious reasons. Maybe also to work places and events

The only way a National Lockdown will work and be accepted is if the Government are seen to do something with the 4 weeks to prepare to come out of it. The pressure will now really be on to fast track some major solutions - hope we are in this equation

Ive been much the same MoreThanMe - dont get me wrong ive been tempted to trade and in some ways wish i had as id now have more than double my holding - but 1. Id probably get it wrong and 2. As you say its been (without hindsight) too risky to not be in.
