I am starting to get the feeling for the first time since I have been invested (Started with a few inherited shares in 2011) that maybe just maybe we are finally on the right track.There appears to be work at all locations & a greater variety of shipping work at Belfast.I just hope that we are successful with the FSS contract with regards becoming part of the preferred bidding team.Lets see what this week holds.Just my thinking.Regards to all.

Hi stokey12 - Your comment - 'The impression I get is that this is likely to be a more long term arrangement designed to help HARL grow.' supports my view & as I have posted earlier today it is the timing of todays announcement that I think is significant bearing in mind current speculation about the impending MOD contract news.I strongly believe that todays RNS is positive news & will help H&W be propelled to the next level with the SP following.

Hi Iamsailing - I understand your view point but I see it as the complete reverse to your view for me it is significant for the timing of todays RNS.I am posting as 'Strong Buy' & have done so for a week or so now.Going to the AGM has given me confidence that on the day H&W will win. Time will tell.

Last nights RNS is not a good look & the current SP indicated this morning is a bit of a car crash I just hope that this will reverse in the next 6 months.

I interpret this mornings RNS as being a positive RNS & sets the scene for the next phase of the Companies future & in John Woods comments it says what we want to hear.I believe this RNS sets us up for that substantial expected win & others & is the basis for the proposed new financing also the timing is significant.

'Whilst understandably the UK Government have decided they can’t proceed with the National Flagship Project at the moment I am convinced the project will still happen in time. Harland and Wolff along with our partners put forward a fantastic design (reaching the final two), the economics show that it would have paid for it’s self many times over by driving global trade to the UK.

This project will proceed in some shape going forward, it will be interesting to see if private industry picks it up before it comes back on the Governments agenda.'

Hi stokey12 I support your last post although it is not definite that the consortium that H&W gains the most from will get the contract but one sensed that a raw nerve was struck in the way the Minister of Defence answered one of the questions.I am guessing an announcement this month on the contract award.

Interesting answer to question 10 looks like we are still in there the minister defended using other countries to get the best for the Royal Navy as a collaboration with those countries.
