We are going to see almost three years of movies released in 18 months,” Richards says. “We are genuinely seeing the next golden age of cinema.”

"Odeon said that more than one million Britons had bought a ticket to watch a movie in the week to Friday, 16 July. This was the highest number of sales since the coronavirus outbreak in 2020."
should read 18 months not 1 month
I have been in shares for around 1 months now and can clearly see that Motley Fool are.. fools! I remember them putting me off Royal Mail arguing that union issues etc. was a big risk. it has gone up 3 fold snce then. They also poured cold water on ITV which has doubled. They were right about shares like Aviva but their enthusiasm for shares like Shell have to proven to be misguided up to now.

However, going into July and H2, I think the picture has changed. Most cinema sites are back open, with several blockbuster films due to be released shortly into cinemas only. The progress of vaccine rollouts, particularly in the UK and US, should aid confidence in people wanting to go out to see a movie.
Another reason I think this penny stock is appealing is that the share price trades at a significant discount to previous years. Even with the loss from 2020, the company still has net assets of $226m. There is value within the real estate and other parts of Cineworld, that I don’t think the share price currently accurately reflects.
share ISA is tax free though i flopped this year so it wont be an issue with me either way
Look at pre Coronavirus average yearly profits which were around 60 million per year. That should give us a back to normal post covid valuation of around 600 million. It did not have a patchy profits record like Ted Baker , Super Dry, Saga etc. Other multi bagger shares like Carnival, IAG and Cineworld were already at frothy levels so today everyone woke up to the last remaining solid bargain left. All things being equal, It should reach double current share price. When that exactly happens is anyones guess. The only advice I give to myself and others is not to over expose yourself to one share just in case the worst case scenario happens like another outbreak and another lockdown. I have been severely burnt recently with Bahamas Petroleum.
and those people are glad they did that as they didnt get burned
stop sounding like an ignoramous who is clueless about the biggest cinema market in the world. It Is a very popular movie that just broke Avengers Endgame opening record. Surely that bodes well for USA and European markets and goes against those prophecising the end of cinema. Tw@@
#DetectiveChinatown3 has been doing over $100M of #boxoffice each day on opening wknd in China. Final 3-day gross set to finish near an astonishing $400M. It has easily beaten #AvengersEndgame ($357.1M in North America) for the all-time record for largest opening wknd in one mkt.
FYI. I am invested heavily in Bahamas
huh?
still sounds more concrete than PowerHouse that is still in abstract terms
the gamestop craze reminded as that any oil find will boost shares in the immediate aftermath for those that want to leave at the earliest convinience
around a year ago i was split between Bahamas and PowerHouse. I obviously chose wrong as things stand currently but that could easily change. On the promise of one factory and future hype about hydrogen, PowerHouse went up 10 fold. So why cant Bahamas on similar good news? There is so much money around in the markets looking for the next big thing that we need to be there at the beginning to get full benefit.
I think today we reached volumes seen with companies like Cineworld which are valued 10 times higher so that must be a good sign even though i appreciated the LO situation
Vol. Sold 3,976,883
Sold Value £83.12k
Vol. Bought 11,496,723
Bought Value £240.28k
This was for today Tue 2 Feb 21
Power House energy shares went through the roof recently on the distant plans for lots of recycling factories and one not so disant plan to beging to build a factory here in UK. The shares can go ultra high as people are look for the next Tesla shares equivalent
