TBH its impossible to work out value because of all the variables. The drugs have got to get thru the trials then they need to have sufficient efficacy to differentiate itself. Then it's got to have the partner with the right pricing model and marketing and you've got to hope no new drugs come along that are simply better.
And if cocrystal tech can be replicated by others then as NFX start to perform others will come in as competitors.
And you need a BoD who as well as being techie and also commercially savvy and ether Kissei deal / news leak and china payment suggests a weakness there.
We can only judge based on the news flow. It needs to be frequent, significant and positive. Rerating based on each bit of news

So a £4.5bn company??? P/e of 20?? Those are some numbers.

The market value is the market value and everything else is subjective. Until deals are announced we are where we are. If they are completed the price will rise and if they don't materialise the price will fall. Like you I believe the value will rise over time but the market doesnt have an agenda against NFX. We just need news flow to get things moving.
Every holder has a different opinion as to value.

I hope we get the news today but I'm not convinced based on such thin volumes yesterday.

It certainly looks like.the news is due earlier in the quarter rather than later. Japan up 1st and we are into.the 20s I hope.

I suspect the placing was pitched with this intention. Then the institution should pay greater attention to the business as the model will.be proven, along with profits for those who took the paved shares

That's a fair comment, but regardless of a larger deal this must still be accounted for as work complete and money due. You only don't record it if you don't think it is recoverable. So either the accounts are wrong or Dan isn't playing straight.

You could argue the contract is being amended and therefore more work is required to earn a higher payment but the £2.5 should appear in the accounts somewhere. It is material so where is the note in the accounts dealing with it?

If the £2.5m from China is due and all the work has been completed then why isn't it a trade receivable??
