Dan's been hung out to dry by the chairman. Dan relied on his reports on china and up on being made to look foolish they have done what they had to and fired him. Was the only option.
It's a small company and if Dan is being kept busy with trials and Japan etc then he had to let others deal.with the payment. After all the payment is a legal / commercial matter and Dan is the science man here.

What I still.dont get is the accounting treatment of this 2.5m. Or rather the lack of it.

I did wonder after you posted that link that it was a stock market issue. But regardless of the chairmen involved we contract with the company and not the individual so as long as the product is commercial the Chinese will likely still honour the payment, esp now this episode.is resolved

Just goes to show you never know the carnage behind the scenes.
Price will drop for sure as management have been embarrassed. Good scientists need sound commercial guidance so there is a bit of a gap to be filled.
Ultimately tech is sound, pipeline is sound and eventually the good.news will appear.

I wonder if.the chairman issue has delayed other negotiations? BOD might want to revisit everything Dave was negotiating to make sure it's all in good order

When Dan said it was a regulatory issue holding up the China payment I assumed it was the pharma regulator rather than the financial regulator.

Quite the opposite to a ramp. I was wondering why the deal that we are all waiting on hadn't be done. Lack of a deal is bad news if anything.

Hi Soup. I know deals take time but that doesn't mean Oct wasn't the end of a long process now does it. I can't know the deets and I said prob, not deffo! With leaks like that and with what he said about the leak causing major issues with negotiation with a potential partner (paraphrasing) I'm just wondering why it's been 3 months. Now it may be that the jap partner was annoyed or it may be that another party used that info to revise their own approach.
But since when did asking a Q deserve an aggressive response?
