Rights Issue20 Mar 2017 18:52
Appreciate all the feedback which has been very helpful.
I remember a Rights Issue with Barclays must be a couple of years ago where the price was £1.86. Shares are now circa £2.30 so maybe this depends on how you view Laird and will it be successful in the future. Certainly seems a lot of confidence in the board buying at high prices and that they are into technology which in todays world is not a bad thing.
I'm going to buy on the basis of the Company will improve the business and figures and that it might be a potential takeover target where the new Company can rip out the less profitable aspects (a bit like Barclays did with their loss making parts). All this will mean is that I will have more shares for 85p and not at £1.40, therefore, my average comes down although there is no guessing where the SP will end up. Its a way for Laird to borrow money to pay down debt and please the banks IMO.
