Low, the guys here don't welcome comments like those. They prefer to guess, and ramp even when NvS recent performance is below par. They are happy to see the SP down because they are here to praise the CEO for failing to deliver on his many promises. My confidence is shaken when he got us excited about the majors, then turned around and scolded us for being allure by the majors. Yet his German interview have him saying he hope a major took us out. Not sure what to think anymore. Maybe he has too many jobs when he should be laser focused on ARCM.
The German interview was done while NvS was at the 2019 Mining Indaba in Cape Town 4th to 7th Feb'19. Post Indaba call was done on Feb 21st, 2 weeks later. Obviously he was knocked back by the majors wanting 80 to 90% to get involved. But not fair to spin it to make out its PIs who are allured by the majors. Just man up and say we are going it alone because we will not give away 90% of the company.
In this interview NvS clearly stated that he is in favour of JV with the majors, and even would like ARCM to be taken out. Yet at the post-Indaba conference call he does a 180 degrees turn around. Not ready to sell out to a major, and beware of the allure of getting involved with the majors. So which is it? Split personality, or was he knocked back by the majors? What brought about such a change of direction within weeks? At least now the CSD looks ready to start producing.
Oh dear, now who is being Gloomy now? @Fulmar, i'd call you an hypocrite but I am not sure you would understand the term. I need to listen, like you did when you missed NvS reference to majors wanting 80-90% to jv? My point was if Solg CEO can get majors on board without giving up 90% of the company, why couldn't NvS? I heard NvS response regarding TR1, but again you missed the point. Surely we should know who these family offices are rather than be fobbed off with a poor reason why we don't know. I am sure the SP would benefit from that info becoming public. Anyway, far better for you folks to guess while the SP tanks.
Guys, its your respective choice whether you choose to engage with me or not. Life goes on. Why does anyone invest in a company? To admire the CEO, the company and its assets, or to see the SP rise so that they can make a profit and move on? Its as if you guys think I'm crazy because I expect to see the SP increase. What is the measure of any company, or any CEO's performance? What good is a CEO and a company if it doesnt return value to its shareholders? Unless its a not-for-profit charity. At least in that case one could take comfort from the good works which charities do. The SP is a measure of every listed company performance. Otherwise, why measure earnings per share?Anyway, I agree that its a waste of time going on here. I'll leave you folks to your guessing, and hopefully some time this year we will actually see some actual data which can be analyzed and upon which decisions made.Yes, I do have a higher regard for SOLG and its CEO. He has his sights laser focused on the company's business objectives and is moving heaven earth to achieve them. He has 2 majors on board and none of them currently own 80-90% of SOLG. We heard a lot about family offices, but aside from Anne Gloag, do we even know who these family offices are? Where are the TRI's?
Riz, so what you are saying is that the onus is always on the PI, and that the company CEO has no obligations to his/her investors to deliver? Its a 2 way bargain, I invest, the CEO delivers, and if that CEO cannot, then he/she should make way for someone else who has a better chance of delivering.
I said nothing about the CEO being untruthful. That is our deduction.
I'm amazed that AIM investors are willing to accept anything, and dont believe that the CEO's of the companies which they invest in has any obligation to deliver on their investments. Maybe be I should open a company on AIM myself. That explains why GR has been getting away with his behaviour for so long.
Sound advice Cattleman. I definitely recall you saying that it will take awhile. I bought my last lot a few weeks ago. I am not going to buy anymore ARCM shares until I see some evidence that NvS can deliver. Yes, he bought the Zamsort assets, but so far he hasn't delivered on anything which he mentioned in the various calls. I have a bottle of moet which I am holding for when he delivers something other than unrealised promises.
Yep ARahim, the old Chinese cook and many like him who built the railways in the USA and Canada are my ancestors. They faced many challenges to build a life in North America, the head tax, prevented from bringing their wives to North America because of fear of the Yellow Peril. In fact, I think Trump is still afraid of us. Yet we became well established in California and British Columbia.
Riz, show me 1 current positive about ARCM at the moment that's bankable, and i'll shut up. No, not over exposed, but I did expect something for the length of time i've been holding this share. Is it too much to ask for at least 1 of the promised deliverables?
Come on Fulmar, SP Angel our broker was mentioned. John Meyer never stopped going on about ARCM, yet we never got mentioned in the piece. Very odd. The 2 hottest copper plays were mentioned though. I am 100% certain we would all be very happy if ARCM name was there also. As for John Meyer, his words no longer carry any weight with me. We are looking to aggressively rerate ARCM, that was almost a year ago, no rerate, only a retreat. At the Indaba he mentioned us jving with 2 majors, now not even a minor. All very well the copper market looking rosy if we aren't there to make the most of it. We are going to go the same way as that company who has a lithium asset but waited too long to exploit it.
More guessing which is not backed up by a meaningful JORC report. Proactive Investors has a piece on Copper and Gold which I find very interesting in that for all the exuberance around ARCM currently, it wasn't mentioned in the piece. Maybe the market still doesn't rate us: https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/columns/details/30727/jackhammer/gold-and-copper-sectors-alive-and-kicking-other-miners-playing-catch-up-30727.html
Salamat Bloodshot, and Mabuhay. So, are you a Pinoy, or are you a Balikbayan resident if you dont mind my asking? Which region of Phils do you farm? Hopefully not directly under mount Pinatubo, otherwise your farm will go the same way as your investment in ARCM is going at present.
No one ever said that NvS doesnt reply to PI's emails and that he isnt accessible. It would appear that you are easily pleased Tiyo. I am quite sure that the 11,000M Kalaba drill program wasnt just to delineate a resource for the plant, but to provide a JORC so that we can see what we've got. NvS job is not to provide soothing emails, but to deliver on business matrices such as the promised Kalaba JORC, CSD production, sale of non-core assets, and to take actions to stop the SP from tanking. That is what I expect from a CEO. Obviously, my expectations are unreasonable, and repetitive. Meanwhile, we wait another year, and hope and pray that come Feb 2020 we wont be hearing the same thing that Cheyeza and Lumbeta arent the mother lode, and that we that we should be careful of the allure of wanting to become involved with the majors. Its unfair to draw comparisons between ARCM and SOLG. At least they are in bed with 2 majors, and their PIs have benefited immensely for their SP appreciating. I wait to see if that happens here too. O, sige, aalis na ako.
Bloodshot, just for you this will be my last post on ARCM today so the BB will be free from my distracting posts. It is much more enjoyable to keep on waiting, and guessing pending further updates from the company. Have a good day.
OK Bloodshot, my posts are boring and whingeing. Yet, I don't complain about the endless guessing, and unrealised estimates made by others. The failure to deliver, and the ever declining SP are all more welcome than my expressing my views, because the guessing at least keeps up the belief that we will get there in the end. Just like last year when Kalaba was going beat FQM and be snapped up by a major. But I am wrong for not being happy that all that didn't happen. Carry on guessing folks. I am not going to stop posting, so make a complaint to admin regarding my negative posts which are factual, unlike the fantasy guesswork.
And I need to follow your directive Fulmar because of......? I didn't realise you are one of Lse''s invigilator. Like I said before, you and others don't like my post's, exercise your option to filter me, or do what others do, report me and have my posts deleted. Being 3 months late is OK for you, not for me. You try being 3 months late on your deliverables at work and see how long you remain employed. Not sure what experience you have of time-to-market, probably none since you are happy to see the SP falls because promised deliverables are 3 months late.
Sketty, anyone looking to invest in ARCM would do their research and wouldn't base their decision on my posts. A look at the rns''s and listen to the icc, they will quickly realize that we are late on all fronts. Instead of worry about my posts, direct your comments to the ceo. If we were on time, there would be no need for my posts. The sp isn't at 2.60 because of China''s posts.
I am a shareholder, and I am not happy with the lateness. Have I posted anything that is not true? You can always filter me if you don't like my posts. 3 months late and I should hold a party to celebrate? I am not happy that it will be 1 more year before the SP recover. Let's hope I am still alive by then.
Perhaps the problem is that NvS is in London, and the team he is relying on is in Zambia. He gets told all is well when he calls them, when thats not the case. I am not buying anymore until I see a turn around and more signs that cheyeza and lumbeta are as good as they say. After all, I bought quite a bit on the belief that kalaba was number 1 ranking only to now learn that it's the ugly girl at the dance who no one wants to dance with. So disappointing.
