Thanks Ray,
Yeah I would have thought that too, it is those words ""subject to funding"" which have intrigued me.
Why announce that without having any idea where funding might come from??
Regulations easing?? Well yes, that is why I felt the FDA would possibly allow in human trial trials before the year end, and lets face it finding patients possibly in the over 65 age bracket shouldn"t really pose a problem, that is if they can identify carriers in time for any treatment to take effect.
Lindy sounded her usual bubbly self in the interview, and I find it hard to imagine with her reputation that funding will pose a major threat presuming of course the science backs up her theories. I think it is wrong to accept that so many companies are in this race, it is not a race, our treatments are not just for COVID 19 but for any number of similar outbreaks, in a world that will carefully prepare their defence systems because of this.
I don"t think news will be so far off, I feel they must have had talks with a host of companies, we might be a small AIM Bio but Lindy is very well respected in the Industry, and even for those Pharmas already decided on their route, they will still want options in their arsenal.....(how I hate that word, lol). By Lindy saying it won"t take long before we catch up I think tells us we are ready to go, and we have the capacity now to order smaller amounts to manufacture than we did some time ago.
Well I am hoping we hear very soon about funding, and it will bring our three other platforms to the fore, I felt we would do a raise around May before trials were halted, and I presume we have key staff on furlough, and the available manpower to make this happen as quickly as is the need for a cure.
Wouldn"t be at all surprised to hear funding news in a very short time, it just isn"t like Scancell to put out such an RNS without good reasoning for feeling funding will be secured. ""Time will tell"" as they say, goodnight.
