RE: Covidity and T-cells12 Nov 2020 06:55
Good Morning All,
Shareguard, well I just had to listen to it again this morning after your post at 00.14 this morning. The comments you mentioned I had heard clearly enough but you reminded me they were said. So I would say the comment about T-Cells being Lindys life and the context she said it in stood out even moreso listening again, the explanations about Avidamab were very clear too, and simply underlined how much Scancell value it and how important it is for us, and on reflection as I said yesterday I had been very excited for a while to hear it and perhaps my expectations were very high, too high in fact.
We had been riding on the crest of a wave for weeks, news of fundings and Redmile carried the wave and the adjournment of the EGM gave cause to feel very united in support of the BOD,and every day seemed to offer something new as the SP climbed to 18.2. So I would say my expectations were perhaps unrealistic, and not having seen an AGM virtual before in two distinctive parts was something I wasn"t used too. We knew the recording was to gather questions from PIs, and it was the first time Scancell had gone into such detail about the problems they faced and have overcome in regard to the science in what was a very difficult year to have our full team working together and the problems that must have carried like it has and so many companies we hear about. After watching it the amount of questions I had were enough for a whole Q & A session which will be addressed this coming Tuesday, where I feel CH will play a ful role in explaining his targets and opportunities for commercial success in the coming year which was really the issues I expected and wanted to hear on Monday.
So I am just now drafting my question, which to save duplicity is around the problems we had recruiting when the SCIB1 trial was first initiated, and apart from the hospital sites now increased to four sites why are they confident the problems we experienced from one site won"t still exist just four times greater and in view of what I hope will happen with partnering I would like to hear what they answer.
With the positives we know, part 2 should be far more upbeat, given the enormous investment in us, and on the subject of licenceing deals and partnering the cash does put us in a far greater bargaining position in the event of a Pharma wanting to take us through trials with the better resources they have at their disposal, particularly on the first issue of patient recruitment. I would appreciate a much fuller explanation as to COVIDITY and why it has not lost anything by way of its potential following Pfizers news and I am sure other vaccines will follow as and when they produce data and begin to target the worlds population.
Thanks again for your post, it got me thinking and as a result listened again and it sounded somewhat different. ATB
