It’s exactly one year ago today, that Scancell released an RNS titled, Pipeline Strategy & Business Update. It was detailed and very useful for both existing and potential new investors imo.

I wonder if that might be an annual update and we receive another this month. Speculation only of course but an element of logic behind the thought.

Cleaner -your request for me to block you. Surely it’s reasonable for a poster here to ask anyone for clarification of relevance. I guess you simply couldn’t provide that and therefore felt you needed to respond in the way that you did.

It’s not new news at all. It was announced back in February via RNS and if an investor actually bothers to read it, they would see there is not that much change to the previous arrangement. So a complete red herring / non-issue / mis-informed scaremongering , in respect of todays Results.

Re the debt facility, it’s quite simple. “Flexibility to complement our organic growth with selective acquisitions”. Renewed with the same Bank who you’d think might just know a little bit about the Begbies business given their long track record of support?

I’m with Halfpenny re market reaction and would expect the SP to re-balance in the coming days. Talk of 80p is ludicrous imo so let’s see on that one.

I was a bit surprised there has been no M&A activity announced in Q2, especially given the news on the new debt facility.

Could of course be that Redmile are holding out for 8 quid.

Or Ruck, that they do see significant progress that will raise the SP but realise if they wait (hence relax the timeline), they might do even better.

“Zoe's appointment as CFO, and to the Board of Directors, follows the Company's change of CFO announcement on 19 March 2024. David Deacon will remain with the business until the end of September and will work closely with Zoe to deliver a smooth and orderly transition. During this time, David will remain on the Board of Directors in an executive role focused on M&A.”

The last sentence - given David Deacon will only be employed until the end of September, it possibly indicates M&A wheels are already turning. Why else would they state that an outgoing, senior employee is focussed on M&A?

Feels like a rabbit hole to me. Scancell have been very transparent around where their focus (and therefore cash) will be directed. Just IMO.

An interesting read in connection with LBE segment of Oxford Metrics. Together with Apparel / Middle East related news contained within the recent RNS, the future of this area of the business looks bright.

Bottom line results are of course critically important to an investor - and so is the need to dig deeper.
