I found a link to the 12% short. It said:

"Error - please try again later"

So the short must have been deleted and was perhaps a deliberate mistake. Interesting!

It's weird. The 12% short was on short tracker 1-2 days ago.
Now it has been deleted.
What is going on?
Someone is playing games.
It could be a short maybe fat finger with extra digit.
Yet it could be purposefully misleading to allow someone to buy a on cheap, or even cheaper.
It's uniquely bizarre. If tye short was "fake news", I would then still class this as a huge buy. But I'm not in the know.
Anyone got anything material?

No one was complaining about their massive debt.
The sp had been decimated.
They got taken over and agreement included a debt reduction. Their debt was relatively speaking far worse than vod if you compare free cash flow, market cap Vs debt.
Just a reminder that the world economy has been built around debt. It's good if managed well, bad if it becomes unsustainable. That's hardly the case with Vod.

The takeover discussion is healthy so it should be discussed.

I agree because the share price is too low to make sense.

Someone been hiding the short quite well.
You can't just short 12% overnight.
There has been some mates doing some work to hide the short. Now that they can't hide it longer, it's now public.

Also claiming vod is high risk for Divi cut its largely unsubstantiated. The past cut was expected. A future cut is not. There is a big difference. How about backing up some of this nonsense with facts?

116.66 p had the feeling of a bottom.

It's unlikely there is a dividend cut.
It's mostly looking like Divi will hold for a long time.
That's why this is a good income stock.
What is your belief based on?
The big factor is that interest on vod debt is easily covered which is why Divi will hold

Q1 update July 23rd so we have to be hoping for a positive update. Divi pay date 4 weeks away so a lot going on.
Presuming update is positive, let's see I Vod make a bottom here somewhere.

Rolls Royce sp looks terrible, iag ok. But since I'm collecting the divis here instead of those above mentioned non-paying shares, this looks better.
There are many other good ones as well as bad ones out there but I'm happy laying low for a bit after the gains I made elsewhere over the corona-year. Vod is a sleeping giant and should do well later in the year. Gla, cheap

I bought at 131.5p and some more at 124p so I timed it badly. Now just waiting for the dividend. Need to think carefully where to invest that money.

Yes let's hope buyers wiil realize what a bargain is available this a.m. at just under 120p. Yield around 6.4%.
