The markets often forward looking when it suits them.

Often times the market can look ahead by a 2-3 days seriously, there's why you get sheep selling at ridiculous prices. Then the price turns the next day and sheep panic buy. Rational markets should be though looking ahead by 1-2 years. With case of Amazon in USA they kept looking ahead years before the profits kicked in. I think the UK market is unfortunately less sophisticated and more imbeciles are involved. However I'm keeping faith that some reason eventually will prevail and PFC will also rahe in decent profits

Remember that Astaris capital does have beef with PFC, they increased their shorts from Feb 7th 0.49% to 1.29% by March 29th then boom! Then after that they very quickly reduced to 0.5%. This reduction equals to about 23.3m share. If they lost 20p per share that is less than 5M loss - not huge but still bad for them I suspect. Slowly overtime they have added back on - hopefully they will lose again - once wrong twice struck!

I have placed a limit order to sell at 180p on all my petrofac shares, every single share has a limit order sell at 180p for 90 days which is the maximum length. If it expires I'll just renew it. I recommend all serious holders set your limit orders high enough that also would mean that they cannot give your shares on loan to shorts.

It doesn't hurt to point out does it? I value the shares currently at 180p.

I find that shorters playing on such huge volumes can distort the share price. Will bounce hard once good news comes in

It's was quite obvious whilst they were telling people to sell, they were themselves buying back their shorts, trying to extract the best possible price. I felt like it was a little bit amateurish in that it was all too obvious. If I was citadel capital, I would sack these Muppets. At least they should try to be more convincing rather than so utterly desperate.

Regarding the share price it's incredibly that it was driven down to 45p again. But hopefully the strong bounce now means that from chartist perspective the bottom is nailed and therefore gains from 45p will be pretty sweet

How many oil Majors are desperate to meet their carbon capture targets or their net-zero targets? Any laggards would potentially be interested in a short-cut? I would imagine so as their forte lies in oil not renewable energy.

What about the actual oil services business side? Would it bring in any synergy savings to have their own arm rather than having to hire one? So then a lazy fat oil Majors could potentially find PFC very sexy, perhaps even young looking!

Honestly I think the only reason it went down to 45p is the charts and the manipulation. It's now hit 45p twice so that's called double bottom. The leeches use social media, discussion boards and algos to force the price down. However, they will likely call it a day here so brace people can bag 2x here really really quickly. Abs legomanhit ng-term punters like will get 4x, 400%, reutun on investment. I think PFC get sold next year at around 180-200p.
