Charles Archer mentions a long term target of 100k tonnes. Obviously, given Leon's track record, we should take any targets with a hefty pinch of salt. With that said, does anybody know the 'industry standard' profit margin for integrated copper miners/producers?
The current price on the LME is $9692.
With a 10% margin, that would be $97 million in profit and $1.5 billion company valuation (roughly 50p per share) on a 15x multiplier.
Is a 10% realistic? What about the valuation multiplier - it's obviously not a FTSE100 enterprise.
What about the medium/long term price of copper?
Are there any threats to copper that might detail things - e.g. cheap graphene cabling?
