RE: Ggp assets3 Sep 2021 13:34
Hi Notrader,
Ok I'll give it a go!
We have 4.2m oz, of which 30% is GGP's. Therefore we have 1.26m oz
Gold is currently $1800 per oz (approx).
I'm using a LOW AISC of $500 per oz. (Telfer currently has an AISC of $1,160)
Therefore we have 1.26m oz x $1300 per oz.
Now we have a valuation of $1.638bn.
Converted to £ at $1.4/£1 gives a value of £1.170bn.
Less Australian taxes/mining royalties etc of 30% gives a valuation of £819m.
Divided by 3,957m shares gives a current value of 20.69p.
Admittedly when originally invested the price of gold was just over $1700, which is what I did my calcs on.
Before anyone starts shouting and screaming, until GGP provide solid numbers, it's all fluid, including the price of gold, the size of the ore body, the AISC and the $ exchange rate. In other words, nobody can accurately predict where this sp will end up. All I know is money will be made here, in time, and Newcrest aren't going hell for leather for no reason.
regards
Rex
