Thanks for all the responses. Much appreciated :)
I suppose if you take the $1500 & £643 AISC costs together and divide them , then a theoretical average AISC of $1070 is doable.
Alternatively (admittedly not knowing anything about Telfer), could we just utilise part of the plant? I mean, how many ore processing lines are at Telfer, one, two three, more? Could parts of the plant be mothballed? Is that impractical, or am I talking through my derriere?
One for those more knowledgeable than me.
Ok, ignore my last, I've found it. The following extract taken from investor mag Oct 21:
The quality of Havieron is observable in the AISC of just US$643/oz Au. This outcome will propel Greatland to the second lowest cost producer globally, with this low cost structure driving a high-margin, high IRR and fast pay-back development.
May be slightly higher/lower now, but since the article was written Gold has been on a run.
All good news :)
I've got a few cracking shares I'd like to invest in.
RP & Gasbag are very quiet on drilling results, which I take to be a bad sign. If they were good results, we'd have been told long ago. More carrot dangling.........................
don't hit the "reply" button
you're helping terrythekok/jw******* to reinforce his pathetic, shameless shorting narrative.
massive profits all this year and right up to 2040!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
buy, buy, buy!
No. Any information that may materially impact the sp must be reported to the market at the earliest opportunity.
More likely the results are rubbish & they're just dragging it out, as always! :(
I just read the article JONNO;

Gold may have industrial application now. It's a very efficient conductor & if it can resist high heat temperatures, it could be a game changer rather than sitting in bank vaults around the world. Who knows? :)

Fair enough Bamps,
I concede you do get a lot of extremely unfair abuse at times which I personally think is totally unwarranted. Most of it by those who can't be bothered putting any effort into their research.
:Personally, I very much look forward to your very good analysis of HAV. Your posts are always informative and well thought out. Keep up the good work :)
MH01,
Almost forgot to say.
The AISC may, or may not, include taxes. Unfortunately I don't know how they've arrived at the AISC figure, so that's a variable I can't pin down.
I've looked at various AISC mining models and every company uses slightly different metrics. Some include tax etc, some don't. It's frustrating when trying to work things out. :(
MH01,
You're very brave putting calculations out there for all to see.
I posted on this board about 2(ish) years ago when the ramping was insane - you know, the £1+ brigade and the 20m oz followers - and the share price had recently touched a peak of 38p.
I posted my calculations showing full value of about 20.69p for 25% of 6.4m oz at that time.
The abuse I got was utterly horrific. The daydream brigade didn't want to hear it, nor face reality.
Now, with the new resource upgrade & additional 5% of Hav, I've calculated a new, and realistic, sp for GGP.
Suffice to say, your numbers look good to me. So well done & congratulations on being so brave :)
If you want to refine your valuations a little more (and if my memory serves me correctly) the AISC back then was about $634/oz I believe. However SD did say he expected that to come down more as the mine developed, though inflation may well have kiboshed that now, who knows....
Anyway, good luck, well done & thank you for putting the effort in & producing realistic calculations.

Now is not the time to buy.
Now is the time to wait, and wait, and wait..........
Until Poulden and Gasbag deliver some REAL results, not the "jam tomorrow" garbage they keep wheeling out every 6 months!
Not a penny more till I see tangible, wealth creating results.
Cheers for your thoughts. You're in the same ballpark figure as my thinking.
We have offshore Guyana a multi-billion barrel heavy crude discovery. If we can get a partner & start production that'll start the ball rolling. If we can get deals for Namibia & SA this quarter, we may be drilling sooner than expected. There are a lot of rigs in the area just now. Again, just a sniff of oil could put a rocket under this.
Just glad I'm in at 10p. I'm happy to sit back and wait for the next 12-18 months.
