I'd say there's more chance of the brexit( no chance) than vod s p £3(no chance) .

Hi, maybe vod is a good long term investment, but time will tell. As long as the Divi holds up . I use Aston Villa as a example to show that vod will never get to £3. As Villa won't win champions league. Remember all those brokers who called this to hit £3 9 months ago, where are they now, uh. But you all claimed they knew more than me. Well they don't, just like when you & I had that bet shortly after brexit, when I recall you bet this would get to £2 25 & I said it would fall to £ 2 10 or below. So it did after Trump victory. I still stand by my prediction this won't reach £2 20 this year, but I would love to be wrong, I really would, but the way I see it article 50 done so pound going up so bad for vod s p as Divi in euros. People now see that brexit is a huge can of worms, so uncertainy will abound. Footsie had great run, but falling back a touch now. Still think this will stick between £2 + £2 10.time will tell, but maybe when results it may push on, but depends what price at results day. But only my gut feeling. That's all, g l a & a t b. Hi , nearly 4 years ago I held Tesco's & sainsburys. Yes I know now. So when the crap hit the fan I sold both + got into Vodafone. I'd made some decent profits on vod with all the Verizon rumours + have recovered most of my losses on tes + sains. So with next Divi, hopefully , I can break even. But shares will still be down a fair bit, so I will have decision to make. I may sell sell some vod & buy shell b , where I've done well before, as oil price steady now + more chance it seems to get in + out, for a few trades, whilst also Divi paid 4 times a year, so only 13 weeks at a time. But for now want to recoup losses on Tesco +. Sains. Time will tell.g l a + a t b . As I've said before since Verizon deal this just hasn't the same volatility it once had.

hi Gerry, all good points , but everyone buys shares to make money, end off. again we can only judge whats what up to today. but next month if there is a divi cut, share will go down a lot. like Sainsbury. vod s p really making hard work of getting to £ 2 20 , so if results not great going forward, then divi cut will come. I would be happy to hold vod if all was equal for next five years. but if divi is reduced, then best to cut losses, like I did with Tesco + sainsburys. I have vod shares at £ 2 10 , £2 35 + £ 2 40, but don't hold out much hope of getting out on any of them anytime soon. I go back to my prediction in late December 2016 that this wont reach £ 2 20 by end of this year. time will tell.

Hi vod gang my take is this. The telecoms sector is changing rapidly , as is the media sector. So tie up or merger of some kind is highly likely, as seen with shy + fox, but that don't mean 2 & 2 = 4. It was at & t before then China gov, now liberty. Qaurtaries offered £6 a share for sainsburys about 8 years ago, now sainsburys s p historically low, they are no where to be seen , but have lowered their holding. Liberty rumours always surface every few months or so. A few years back Aston Villa was up for sale & red bull was supposed to be sniffing around. Everyone connected with Villa said it would be great , just like Victor vod c e o. But what else would Villa say or Victor say. It's like getting a Xmas presents & you shake it, pull it , weigh it thinking it's a game boy. On opening it , it's half a dozen knackered bath cubes. Their is no liberty, no brexit & no red bull for Villa just. A cheap Chinese takeaway, fact.go on liberty prove me wrong.

Looks like correction is under way now. I said at new year this won't make £2 20 this year. Well 1 third gone + it's a way off. If results are good in 2 months then it could get there. But I still feel you have to be in for the long haul. Atb the & gla.

I'm no expert as any one whose read my posts before will know, but this india deal in the short term is Vodafone making the best of a bad situation. time will tell how this works + pans out. but for now it brings some stability to the india situation. market really wanted some liberty news, but as ive said liberty is just folly. india news priced in, I reckon. Bloomberg + cnbc all talking about 3 % to 5% market correction, but vod may be a defensive stock so s p may hold up better than some. I think it will run fron £ 2 to £ 2 10 for a while. 2 months till results + hopefully no divi cut.

Well I'll believe it when I see it. Heard this 1 so many times. Boy who cried wolf, comes to mind. I'd guess in a ideal world £ 2 70 or £2 40 & liberty shares or 1 off Divi. If I wanted to be a dreamer. No brexit , 100%. Merger chance 3%. But I may be 97 % wrong. Yeah right. Nice rise though, at last. Gla next stop £ 2 15.

lets hope for a good rise 5 p or higher if news on india gets confirmed. sometimes you cant help who you have to get in to bed with, vod already wrote down billions on india unit, lets hope this will change the landscape. also I think the most rich guy in india , free deal ends on 31 march, so will be advised if this can continue. g l a . yes danieth weve all lost money on the villa 1 way or the other.

If someone was in a coma for 2 months + they awoke they wouldn't realise, with this share + still no Brexit + Aston Villa still losing they're think that no time had elapsed . If no merger, then I dread to fear where share price will go. G l a.

vodafone feeding bits of news to the press , but nothing in terms of the india deal. the longer is goes on the more nervous im becoming. victor , vods CEO needs to start pulling a few irons from the fire in regards to vods ongoing problem in india. surely shareholders must be losing faith in his leadership, with really only the dividend to keep "us" suffering vod shareholders content. time victor to stand up + be counted, or are you trying to work out just how long it would take you to count your huge scandalous pay off.

I feel now that it's time to realise anyone waiting for £ 2 30 or above are kidding themselves. Where are all those brokers who kept saying £3. I said they were a joke and but was shouted down. I predicted the high for vod SP high for the year would be £ 2 20, but that maybe was optimistic. I keep saying this share is a long haul back to £2 40, maybe never. But sooner rather than later we will cut our losses and seek splice else where. No point taking good Divi if share price falls below Divi amount. Sorry to sound so gloomy, just being honest. Sentiment seems on a downward trend again. Most U S telecom stocks off quite a lot today. Oh well we've been here before. Only 24 weeks till next Divi, we hope 😀, g l a .I may buy a few if A P goes below 188 or so.

results, well could have been worse. the india unit needs to be resolved. the richest guy india has been granted permission till march 31st 2017 to give away free calls , but has now been challenged as may be illegal. so courts will judge. so maybe some light at end of the tunnel. just topped up, but not sure which way vod sp will run now. id guess it may run between 190 + 2 00 for a few weeks, maybe months, which again wouldn't be the end of the world. gla.
