ROK's SP moving up this morning. Nice to see some positive support generaly in the Market but I'm still an observer at present.

By Sophie Brodie 14/08/2007 The Telegraph Management Consulting Group saw its shares jump 13pc yesterday after it posted first-half results ahead of its own expectations. Much of the price rise clawed back a 10pc loss on Friday. The company, which advises banks, insurers and natural resources companies on improving profitability, saw profit before tax and amortisation (its preferred measure) rise 20pc to £8.1m for the six months to June 30. Pre-tax profit rose just 2pc to £7.4m. Revenues were up 49pc at £100.5m, despite a weak dollar. The improved performance was mostly due to the company's acquisition of French rival Ineum last September which contributed £40m to the top line and helped offset weaker results at the company's main business Proudfoot. advertisement Chief executive Kevin Parry said orders across the group were ahead of last year and that the integration of Ineum had gone well. As a result, the company was able to announce its first interim dividend in ten years. Shareholders will collect 0.33p-a-share payment on October 22. The shares closed up 5½ at 48½p.

ROK has seen some buying this morning so far @ 200.50p or so. I am convinced this is worth buying, but I'm waiting to see how the Market performs over the next few days. Some suprising drops this morning on some stocks, the water is still boiling!

ITIS Holdings PLC 17 August 2007 Holdings in Company The Company was notified on 16 August 2007 by Smedvig Capital AS ("Smedvig"), who are represented on the ITIS Board by John Hewett, a non executive director, that they have made a further purchase of 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 2p each in the Company. Smedvig now holds 15,550,212 such ordinary shares, representing approximately 15.80 per cent. of the Company's voting rights. This purchase follows the purchase on 13 August 2007 of 930,000 ordinary shares of 2p each in the Company, and brings the total shares purchased by Smedvig over the last four days to 1,930,000 ordinary shares of 2p each in the Company.

The sub-division of its 10 pence shares into five new shares at 2 pence each in May 2007, recognises that the price of shares, which rose 88 pct during 2006, was at a level which could of impaired their marketability and liquidity. This week Rok has reported first half pretax profit of 11.2 mln stg, against 6.4 mln stg for the same period in 2006, after strong organic growth in both its building and maintenance divisions. Rok has reported a 75 pct rise in first half pretax profits, after it won more contracts to fit new kitchens and bathrooms in social housing and repair properties damaged by winter storms. In early June, ROK's SP touched 250p and has since seen a downward trend following the shakey market. If there is a stock that's worth researching for a bargain buy, this could be one. Wednesday, 15th August 2007 Adventis' medical communications unit wins 3 new accounts LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Advertising firm Adventis Group PLC said it has won three new accounts at its medical communications subsidiary, LeapFrog. The winning of the East Coast mainline franchise by National Express Group is a much-needed coup for the company. Despite beating most of its peers for punctuality and reliability, National was until yesterday in danger of disappearing as a! major r ail operator after a string of franchise losses. National adviser JPMorgan reckons the win could boost 2008 profits by £25 million, valuing the company at 12.5 times earnings. But the management certainly has its hands full, having to manage such a demanding new business while also bedding in a large Spanish acquisition. Slowly building up the MAMA Empire, Monday's news reads: MAMA Group decides to acquire whole of Mean Fiddler for initial 6 mln stg LONDON (Thomson Financial) - MAMA Group PLC said it has decided to acquire the entire issued share capital of Mean Fiddler Holdings Ltd for an initial 6 mln stg cash, after announcing last Monday its intention to acquire just some of Mean Fiddler's businesses. Mean Fiddler Holdings' operations include Jazz Cafe, The Borderline, The Garage and the former Mean Fiddler, all of which are live music venues in London. Giveusaclue, glad to see you monitoring LEAD and reminding us that despite a 'shakey' period in the Market and a drop in the SP (as with most stocks) LEAD is pulling in new contracts and looks in position to recover back to the 70ps in due course. As with dasv, I'm not spending to much time at the Screen either at present, had a nice few days rough camping in Wales. Here's to better times!

Monday, 13th August 2007 UK smallcap opening - Latitude Resources gains on Chilean copper disposal news LONDON (Thomson Financial) - The decision to sell its Chilean mining operations supported Latitude Resources, 0.25 pence higher at 4.50. The group said its unit, Latitude Management Capital Inc, has conditionally agreed to sell Latin American Copper Chile Holdings, a wholly-owned unit of LAT Capital, to Australian exploration and mining company Tamaya Resources.
