Restaurant Group FY adj pretax 43.5 mln stg, current year LFL sales up 4 pct.__ The Restaurant Group PLC said full-year adjusted pretax profit came in at 43.5 mln stg, up 24 pct on the previous year, and said the current year has started well with like-for-like sales up 4 pct. While the owner of the Frankie & Benny's and Chiquitos chains, said it is encouraged by its performance in the light of tightening consumer conditions it warned it is not impervious to current economic factors. The group, which focuses on out-of-town leisure parks, added that second and third quarter like-for-like hurdles are demanding. The Restaurant Group re-iterated its target of opening 30-35 new restaurants in 2008 after it opened 36 in 2007. It declared a full-year dividend of 7.25 pence, up 21 pct on the previous year.

PartyGaming FY EBITDA from continuing ops up 119 pct, CEO to step down 5 March 2008 07:31 LONDON (Thomson Financial) - PartyGaming PLC reported a 119 pct rise in full year earnings from continuing operations and said chief executive Mitch Garber has indicated he does not intend to renew his employment and services contract beyond May 1, 2009. Canadian national Garber has advised the company that he and his family have decided to return to North America in 2009. He will stay in the post until a successor is found and has agreed to remain available thereafter to ensure an 'orderly and seamless transition'. EBITDA from continuing operations increased to 111.7 mln usd from 50.9 mln usd the previous year. That was ahead of market expectations which ranged between 107-110 mln usd.

As suggested I'm in and there was solid buying yesterday. I am of the opinion that the SP has been manipulated this morning by the the usual corrupt MMs. I do however think there will be further buying today on this drop and I'm hoping tomorrow will bring reasonable news.
