RCG Holdings Limited a leading global provider of integrated biometrics and RFID security solutions, is pleased to announce that it has increased its market share in the consumer market and has also expanded into the highly lucrative Japanese market.
RCG’s FxGuard Windows Logon has been selected by NEC Computers Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd (“NEC”) as a software bundle with NEC’s desktop and notebook computers which is distributed throughout the Asia Pacific region. The program has been extended to cover NEC Personal Products Ltd for sales into Japan.
The FxGuard Windows Logon, RCG’s Microsoft Windows Vista Program certified facial recognition computer login software, has received substantial interest from both the consumer markets and notebook manufacturers. Further to the announcement made in March 2008 in which RCG announced its collaboration with Acer computers, for the FX Guard Windows Logon product, this is the second contract between RCG and a major computer manufacturer worldwide. The success of the product further strengthens RCG’s position as a developer of innovative biometric consumer product for everyday use.
According to IDC Market Research, the shipment of personal computers, including desktops and notebooks has amounted to 267 million units in 2007, and is predicted to reach 426 million units in 2012 at a CAGR of 9.7%. The integration of built-in cameras ha
