Plans to enlarge production and all the necessary essentials that go with it are in hand. Some patience and this investment will have rewards. I have no crystal ball but lots of optimism. This 04 June 2008 The Board of Chloride notes the announcement by Emerson Electric Co. ('Emerson') that it is no longer considering making an offer for Chloride. The Board of Chloride gave Emerson's proposals due consideration and concluded that they undervalued the Company and its prospects and therefore that those proposals should not be pursued. As indicated in Chloride's recent preliminary announcement of results for the year ended 31 March 2008 announced on 2 June 2008, Chloride has a robust business model, clear strategy and strong positions in geographies and higher growth market sectors (including IT services, data centres, energy and oil & gas) where secure power is increasingly critical to business continuity. Western Canadian Coal rose 11.6 per cent to 431.5p amid takeover hopes, which helped controlling shareholder Cambrian Mining add 16.4 per cent to 227p. In February, Western Canadian appointed Morgan Stanley to investigate strategic options. The talk yesterday was the investment bank was sounding out potential bids at about 500p per share.

Some news above ( Red spot ) Xtract is supported by its cornerstone investor, Cambrian Mining Plc (AIM:CBM) a diversified resource investment house which together with its wholly owned subsidiary Cambrian Investments Holdings Limited holds approximately 50.1% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Textile processing firm Leeds Group (LDSG) said pre-tax profits for the six months to end-March 2008 declined to 361,000 pounds from 393,000 pounds last time, although revenues increased to 11.3 million pounds from 8.4 million pounds. The company said that increased overhead and interest charges at German-based unit Hemmers-Itex held back profitability. It added that it remains on the lookout for further acquisitions. Seymour Pierce, which has a 'hold' stance and a 20p price target for the shares, took a favourable view of the results. "With the 28.76% acquisition of Dawson International, a cashmere business and the Hemmers-Itex business trading well, the group with net debt of 650,000 pounds will be actively looking to realise and create value," commented the broker.
