I’ve been holding the minority view of a takeover rather than JV, based on a couple of clues to date ( duration of DD and extension, alignment of accounting years, appointment of heavyweight M@A experts Rothschild, the huge AA fundraise and now the cancellation of options). I don’t believe the option cancellation would be confirmed until the last moment so am expecting a deal announcement very very soon.
Difficult to believe you can still buy shares in this company at reasonable prices. Some will undoubtedly kick themselves the day after!

The only problem I can see in loading up the SIPP with ARCM shares is breaching the £1.1 million lifetime limit when the deal closes! :)

You are correct, there are other big players with lithium requirements. PSA Group (now part of Stellantis) made an agreement with SAFT ( owned by TOTAL) who are building a battery plant in France and Germany.

I’m glad there are sellers to provide some liquidity as I’m still happy to take them off their hands!

Difficult not to get exuberant but in this case it appears entirely rational. I’ve added another £10k to my holding just now which, who knows, may be my last opportunity to top-up?

I actually expected it to align with last week’s announcement ......

If that is not the location of the gigafactory that VW is proposing, might that suggest that a VW gigafactory will be in addition and if so, a different country location might be preferred? Maybe one with lots of solar energy potential?

There was an article in Investors Chronicle the other day about U.K. miners with lithium ambitions. Placed BCN ahead of SAV in the race-to-market. However you increasingly have to consider the SAV/GALP partnership with GALP , I believe, hoping to jump a step ahead in the value chain by offering batter cells to battery manufacturers.
