I’m not sure whether the tool displays the amount granted or just the amount applied for? If it’s been granted, someone better tell DA so that he can get an RNS out!

Having announced the Northvolt/GALP deal it would be almost unthinkable for the primary source of lithium in Portugal to be disapproved or unreasonably delayed. I was sure they would announce the whole supply chain deal together but they obviously couldn’t wait any longer. Will approval come in 2021 or will we have to wait 2022? When it comes there will now be no doubt about where any offtake deal will come from and at that point SAV should become a much more investable rather than speculative proposition with an appropriate price tag.

Certainly lithium stocks have track record in multi bagging. EMH rose from 10p to over a £1 in a much cheaper lithium pricing environment. SAV’s current position looks even stronger to me so why not 40p -50p?

Why no deal with SAV given DA’s VW flag-waving on every opportunity? Waiting for the EIA approval perhaps? Had or negotiating a better offer? Keeps hinting about interest of many kinds but so far nothing has materialised except a lapsed deal with GALP. About time we had some inspiring news post Mozexit!

I’m still not convinced of whether or not we have agreed to transfer everything of any value to Rio for the compensation payment. If there is significantly more to come then great but I’m doubtful. Have asked for clarification.

Happy to see the way out of this project which was going nowhere until Rio wanted it to. How much was spent on the project over the many years of involvement? More than the $6 million nominal assets I’m sure. Hardly a ringing endorsement of the Board’s judgement I’m afraid. Still, if you learn by your failures, DA must be one of the wisest CEOs on AIM. First Oman, now Moz. Third time lucky in Portugal?

The election may well be ancient history by the time this project is funded by the EU. Great news nevertheless! We now know that the EU look favourably on lithium mining and a study on the establishment of a lithium supply chain. “Savannah” is mentioned - I presume “Resources” rather than “Petroleum “ but so far no tweet from Dave?

Big win for those with mining ambitions, even in nature conservation areas to a limited extent! Perhaps provides a green light for individual countries to approve local projects by reference to it?

Quiet mode, I understand the need to preserve capital but I don’t think things are in any way desperate. I think DA is proceeding very carefully, feeling his way past the local community objections, Portugal’s Environmental burocracy, Portugal’s election politics, Europe’s Aarhus convention and presumably the commercial machinations of VW, GALP etc.
Quite a lot for a tiny company trying to break into a new market. If you are the likes of Rio Tinto you may be able to afford to play things differently and it’s typical devil may care escapades in the Jadar lithium prospect in Serbia make quite a contrast to SAV’s cautious approach. I know which one I prefer.
