I definitely have the same concerns. Been looking at the MG estate EV as it's on offer at the mo, but not sure about the components. I really don't like the idea of my vehicle being able to be controlled remotely. It's the same reason i have a woodburning stove and I'm installing solar panels - I like the safety of being somewhat self-sufficient in an emergency

I'm not so sure. Super dry had a very definite look that was pretty much a fad - once it went out of fashion, it looked dated. Burberry make classic items, and their new collection looked pretty cool. Their stuff feels timeless, so I don't think it will go out of fashion for long. I just think we need some low interest rates, more free cash in consumer's pockets, sensible overhead management and a ascent recovery in China. I think this business will turn around over the next 12 months. No one would turn down a burberry bag or coat. Lots of people didn't like Superdry's style

I was expecting a slight recovery before results as I thought shorts would close. It makes me think they're expecting bad news in the results and are carrying their positions past results day. Hmm

Thanks for that steer. I did put my investment in and I'll be hoping, along with everyone else, that we see green shoots in the results. I'm especially intrigued as to how the AI focus in workflow plays out - I think it may be a very smart move as we see AI becoming embedded in so many tasks in the next few years

Well, my investment lasted 3 days before my stop loss has been triggered. I'm going to sit out and see where this falls before dipping my toe in again. I still think this is a real investment opportunity and the sell off has been overdone. But... Short interest and barclays cutting price target to 540 today makes me think this has some way to fall. I'm going to wait for 3 days rising in a row before taking small, incremental positions. Fingers burnt...

Having said the below, the news of the takeover bid did overshadow the results at Spirent. There was an 80% drop in profit which was pretty brutal in 2023. Hopefully, 2024 has started more optimistically, but it mayvtake a while to filter through into results. Without a takeover, this may take a while to recover

Me too- I took 1/3 out of spirent as a hedge and put it here. I can't believe this share price will stay here for long. Either a takeover or, with the positive noises from the PMI numbers, things will surely move up from here. Either way, I'm expecting my portfolio to be a little rosier in a few months' time.
