The news GCM just released is major significant. Don't be listening to posters with 70 or 80 posts. Many will be MMs, shorters and/ or folks with multiple IDs.

Is blatant, MMs coaxing out sells and gathering them. MMs/ Market got caught by news. Market/ MMs do not like getting caught short. They are now making up for it. IM OK with it. Trying to hoover up what piddly amounts I can.

Market/MMs have played this. Yesterday's news has woken everyone up, catching MMs/ market out. Sells being stocked by MMs ready for more substantial rises. Have added more today. Watch this space.

Yesterday's news, alongside wider energy security and development issues (under COVID), open this up completely for me, now. Have been adding today and will continue to do so. Further buying pressure, and the MMs have no choice but to let it go.

Traders out, MMs trying to bag some cheap ones. Anything bought at these levels is a major bargain after yesterdays news.

Yesterday's news was excellent, opening the door to more news. Steady rise from here as we head into more news. Energy security and domestic coal will be on the agenda in Bangladesh from here onwards.

We may end up with nothing, but as yet we have no evidence on what is to come next (for us shareholders that is)

Now learning of the restructuring, we can see how earlier persistent claims of FRR being totally finished haven't quite come to pass.

So, let's wait to see.

Mole, I take on board your comments, carefully considered as always. I've also noted Njames's post, knowledgable and well explained.

It may be the case that this new structure leaves shareholders like us with nothing. But we can see that those opposing FRR were not necessarily chasing this outcome either. They wanted to sink FRR, outright and earlier.

Given the mess, we have come further than I and many others thought. We have reached the point where all hinges on the details being hammered out for what appears to be the next stage survival plan, with - for us, the ordinary shareholder - the question of how we are impacted/ benefited in this final settlement (as I've intimated earlier), being the crux.

Whatever happens, wishing the many good folks the very best, with fingers still crossed.

Tenners original find here is a major piece of the jigsaw, as far as we can have for the moment. For me, it clearly demonstrates a) there was a lot more going on than they could ever say, and b) that to say anything about it until necessary/ safe to do so, would've been dangerous to keeping things alive (remembering everything that was coming at the company).

Based upon Tenners find, our concerns are now largely funnelled towards the matter of how prevcisely us shareholders will be affected/ benefited by these moves, somewhat better than 'that's it, FRR have had it'.

Granted, there is still a hell of a lot of detail still awaited, as to our fate as shareholders. But the glimmer of hope is not any longer pure fantasy.

Agreed. Today's news convinced me I need to build a stake here and will be doing over the coming days.

If ever there needed to be a kick up the GoB's backside, COVID was it!

COVID has made clearer than anything ever could, that energy security is critical and that depending on external/ foreign supply is not energy security needs being addressed. When crap hits the fan, other countries will either be a) unable to deliver, and/ or b) looking after themselves first. From the RNS:

"Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed our progress with the Project, we believe that it has encouraged the Government of Bangladesh to review and enhance its energy security by utilising local fuel sources, following supply and importation disruptions. This supports our strategy to become an impact project for the people of Bangladesh, providing low cost and sustainable electricity in-country, by combining the Company's coal mine proposal with mine mouth power plants generating 6,000MW. "

Make no mistake, this is great news, and, critically, points to more news to come:

"The Company is currently in negotiations with PowerChina with the intention to include PowerChina as a party to the Framework Agreement in due course."

The Company notes that significant progress has already been made with NFC and PowerChina under the existing MoU and that this Framework Agreement enables the Company to continue towards the formation of a strategic partnership to jointly develop the Project. "
