CityTTrader, of course engine sales would dry up if they overpriced their engines, any product range would dry up if overpricing occurred, you don't need a PhD in economics to figure that out.

But what would happen if Rolls-Royce priced 1/2% under GE, rather than their massive discount of recent years.

Do you advocate a sell em cheap and stack them high policy?

I'm sure that the CEO with his accounting and business background and experience with global businesses i.e BPcan figure out a profitable strategy without any guidance from us, or else we'd have his job, wouldn't we?

Well, a nuclear strike in Eastern Europe, a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, a nuclear strike by Nort Korea on Japan, a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, a huge eruption in Yellowstone, a massive meteor strike, a new pandemic erm lots of conditionals eh and yes Airbus could provide alternative engine sources.

But I'm long re Rolls-Royce, holding only 285000 so I'm no whale, but from my eyes, I see only endless potential.

CityTTrader, I'll take comfort that youve analysed all the servicing agreements with all airlines using Rolls-Royce engines and come to the conclusion that they have over egged their agreements.

Obviously, as,an aviation engineering expert you know more than the new CEO.

He predicted that Rolls-Royce shares would fall to 36p, they went to 65p.

I bought a few hundred thousand at 70p, he sold at 83p.

They are now £2. 32p and will more than double in the next 3 yrs.

Wonder what he thinks now?

Sinpants, at the prices at the time of both shares, I thought that Easyjet would rise quicker in the short-term due to the rise in Rolls-Royce and the fall in Easyjet.

I'm extremely bullish on both stocks but obviously I've made the wrong decision at the moment, but time will tell.

Shareflyer , the initial trade wasn't meant to be a long term trade.

At 1.81 and Easyjet at 4.48, I simply thought 5hat Rolls-Royce had been through such a lift that Easyjet could get to £6 before Rolls-Royce got to 2.50.

Iveakways thought that Rolls-Royce will get to 2. 50p by the end of November 23, £3 by the end of February 24, £3.50 by end of August 24 and £4 by end of February 25.

Now, I think these estimations are conservative

Easyjet are grossly undervalued so I'm not too concerned, I'm averaging about £4.07 now.

It'll come.

Onlyone, not feeling that clever at the moment mate, sold £50k Rolls at £1.81 and £50k at £1.84, bought £50k at £4.48 and £50k at £4.34 in Easyjet.

Sold another £100k in Rolls-Royce at £2.11 and bought £100k in Easyjet at £3.74.

Don't think it's big balls, I genuinely think I'll double my investment in Easyjet over a 3yr period so patience is the key.

Still holding as you said 285000 in Rolls-Royce at an average of 89.71p.

This will be £5 plus in the not too distant future, say 3 yrs.
