Well without even looking at the charts, after the Dows performance today, we're heading north again tomorrow.

Obviously this can't continue day after day ad infinitum, eventually it will pause, retract, consolidate and then end of February, upwards again.

I don't ever dismiss chartist analysts but equally I've had serious muscular injuries relieved by acupuncturists, which I understand equally.

I'm a fundamental investor and merely look at fundamentals lol, geopolitics , macro/micro ecomomics, market share, revenue, free cash flow, future prospects et al

Boy, I wish I could ignore all these factors and simply look at a chart.

Mararab, strange that 1 day after that statement, Emirates announced a further purchase of 15 A350's which as you know are powered by Rolls-Royce engines.

I'm holding a bucketload of Rolls-Royce at an average of 89p and similar in Easyjet at an average of £4.01.

Could easily take some profit and roll into ALGW, just don't know if my balls are big enough, I'm pretty heavy in ALGW at the moment averaging 2.19p.

Waccybaccy, it's interesting how we view different reasons for investing in Rolls-Royce.

For you, SMR's are the key, for me they are the icing on the cake.

Why?.

Well, the most important factor for me is that finally Rolls-Royce has an experienced financially trained accountant CEO, streamlining all divisional operations, renegotiating engine sales to be as profitable as GE and Pratt, renegotiating maintenance contracts, the possible reintroduction into the massive single isle market via the hydrogen engine, that will be monumental, the performance of the power and defence divisions, both of these have massive upside with current geopolitical concerns.

SMR's whilst obviously a great book value addition are supernumerary to me, their effect on the bottom line in terms of profit and free cash flow is 6 to 8 years away.

However, I'm aware that an order for 10 or more SMR's from anywhere in total would immediately make Rolls-Royce investment grade, probably lead to a more substantial dividend end of 24/25 and attract the huge pension investment houses looking after trillions of LA pensions.

Obviously this announcement in it's self eould provide share price increase.

Then I'd be comfortable that Nettles £7 by February 25 is achievable.

Anyway, that's my position and hopefully we both win
