A14x, I was solely into shares up until 2010 when I retired, then couldn't be bothered researching individual shares so I went into unit trusts investment trusts until 2022.

Then I simply saw what I thought were once in a life time investment opportunities.

Bought an absolute shedload of Rolls-Royce at an average of 89.77p.

Sold a heap at £2.11 and bought 49076 Easyjet at an average of £4.07p and Alpha Growth at an average of 2.01p

Still holding 281000 Rolls-Royce.

I expect Rolls-Royce to hit £8 by 2027 and Easyjet £11/12 by 27.

ALGW could easily be 20p by then.

Then I'll probably sell, put the entirety into an income and growth ETF and thats my lot, I'll be 72 then and it's time to stop the research and speculation

Tĥe problem with mass media predictions re a share is that it attracts thousands of speculators who know absolutely nothing about the relevant company and simply want to make a quick buck.

I've never ever set a price target exit strategy.

If you do and the SP hits it, look at the fundamentals, would you buy at that price, what's the news flow?, profit and free cash flow, new orders , institutional upgrades?

The fundamentals change, so this obsession with a SP is simply crazy.

It reaches your price, you sell and the next day a massive order comes through.

Well the institutions are buying and they own over 80% of the issued stock, so why would you think that a small % of retail investors like us would affect the price.

The institutions would love little men to sell off because rhe SP has breached some numerical level and just sweep them up.

That's what separates an investor from a speculator and Rolls-Royce has attracted a lot of speculators in the past few weeks, judging by recent posts.
