TIK-TOK
1 month to VW deciscion to build GF
1 year to CEZ decision to mine Li
"The government supported the plan to build a battery factory for electric cars at the reserve army airport Líne near Pilsen. Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) will inform the management of the Volkswagen concern about the plan, which is considering the Czechia as one of the three locations for this so-called gigafactory. This was said after the government meeting by Industry Minister Jozef Síkela (for STAN) and Finance Minister Zbynek Stanjura (ODS)."

I think it's like this.. I'm from Czech Rep. and i know here is much more politics and national interests around that maybe you can imagine. Fo my country is this BIG deal for future with environment nad social impact and political points for next elections. And of course there is play for future our biggest industry company Skoda Auto... GL
as CEZ say, primary goal is to sell baterries no only Li ( and of cource there is a political and nationality background) ...keep it in mind..
We cant move much more higher without Gigafactory build announcement. Any other things about minining wiil follow.
There is 2 options:
1) VW - Pilsen park (Goverment sponsored)
2) CEZ - Prunerov (own teritorry)
or combination. I think on autumn we will know more. My opinion.

"Thomas Schäfer, the incumbent Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto, who will take over the operational management of the VW brand from 1 April, wants the parent company Volkswagen to choose the Czech Republic to build a car battery factory. Schäfer said this in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) published today. The newspaper described the support of the Czech Republic as a possible place for the new plant as Schäfer's farewell gift. "

i was right .. next memorandum is the only one output from meeting Babis-VW-CEZ :
16:11 By 2025, 3,000 charging points for electric cars could be created in the Czech Republic. This follows from the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Development of Electromobility in the Czech Republic, signed today by representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, infrastructure managers, CEZ and Škoda Auto (CTK)
CEZman Benes:
"It is the case that we have been negotiating with Škoda Auto from the Volkswagen Group for almost a whole year, but it is still premature to comment on the final agreement, because we have not yet done so."
Nothing important about CEZ and Gigafactory will happen. Maybe some another memorandum...
Press Today:
15:16 By the end of the year, CEZ Group wants to decide with whom to build a battery factory in the area of the former brown coal power plant Prunérov I in the Chomutov region. Daniel Beneš, the company's director, told the press today. According to him, the first phase of the project could be completed around 2025 (CTK)
I think Herbert Diess doesn't want to be an actor in an election comedy ... or there is bad news about Gigafactory... we will see
Most interesting part from press:
"In the preliminary feasibility study, we had it that we would extract 35 million tonnes of rock in 20 years, about 1.7 million tonnes per year," said Pavel Cmelík, director of the CEZ development project management unit.
According to him, experts have already stated that if there is interest, the recoverable part may be significantly higher. Annual production of 22,500 tonnes of lithium hydroxide is expected, and in 20 years it could be 500,000 tonnes of lithium product. According to Cmelík, the price of lithium hydroxide is currently around $15,000 per tonne.
Underground mining is planned at Tinovec, with the ore to be crushed directly at the mine. It has not been decided where the processing plant will be located. According to Benes, there are no obstacles to mining and the project still appears to be profitable.

there are many statements from different subjects and GEOMET has to comment on, contradict or propose a solution to them ..EIA is long run
Lesy sever, s. R. O. Dated 31 May 2021
He does not agree with the intention due to its location. Boundaries of the proposed mining area
interferes with the purpose-built facility of the Jedlovec forest reserve.
:) EIA ...what to say more...
Google Translator:
On Tuesday, the government and the energy company CEZ will probably sign a memorandum on support for the project of a battery factory for electric vehicles, the so-called Gigafactory, in the Czech Republic. The plan has yet to be approved by the government, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport Karel Havlícek. The investment should amount to at least 52 billion crowns in the first phase, and at least 2,300 new jobs are expected to be created in connection with it.

in czech, use translator.. e.g. :
How far are you with lithium mining?
We have completed feasibility studies to the extent that CEZ has selected two technologies for which we perform field tests. Once we have tried how to separate the lithium compound, then we can make a final economic study, because we will already have very accurate numbers. Then we can choose the most suitable technology and make the final decision. All this must happen within a year, we want to make the final decision in 2023.
