RE: Talk of an EGM has spooked Holders27 Mar 2025 08:46
The same pattern every time, people screaming for an RNS and news, then when they get what they want, the games begin and market makers being market makers play of the buy high sell low instinct. It's as if RNSs are expected to be the drivers of share prices, but if it falls anything short of 'discovery' and full production and monetisation, the sp gets whacked.
RNSs news snippets don't create value, but they successfully distort it. Be careful for what you wish for is the order of the day here.
PG was certainly under pressure to make a statement, it showed by the fact it was a ramble, but what better way to skirt around questions that you perhaps are not at liberty to answer if you don't have a slick PR adviser at hand. I am sure no other oiler is different without PR.
I invested a nominal amount recently because I think the asset base is wide reaching, and sustainable, it's not going to vanish all of a sudden. Directors took payment in share options on the strength of the portfolio. We have Steve Boldy on board and if Ireland get the sign off, you can be sure he is going to take an active role in that. Who knows, he might even be a good fit for the other assets.
