gerb, don't worry, i have enough tickets in here to make me sweat in my green mankini if this goes pear shape - not worried at this stage, so far. if/when char sign the gas agreement, i will increase holding.
i think speed ferret got mixed up with the account he was using when sending his retort.....might have to keep the super glue away from him and few other on this board so they don't glue themselve to petrol stations in support for cop27.
b12, you arguement is flawed. if you were correct in your assertion, surely it would have been quicker to have installed wind turbines as they are plug and play. the fact they have not and opened a coal mine means you are talking b@llocks - i think you know it. if you are determined to go green, i can send you my green mankini, unwashed.

b12, no doubt newer turbines are more efficient - instead of charging your phone, you can now use the hair dryer when the sun is out. what the article clearly demonstrates is that even with the latest magnet technology and improved motor efficiencies, it still can't compete with coal (and these 'efficient' panels and turbines are manufactured using oil and coal). imo, hearing adonis today was positve, but only in the reporting of anchios and oort energy whose electrodes are +90% efficient (where he could have spent more time talking about). i think he got carried away with himself when talking about thousands of large solar/wind projects in north africa. any european countries going into these projects thinking they are finding energy solutions in north africa are turkey's voting for christmas - these countries are far less stable than russia and provide no energy independence. yes, hyrogen is the energy of the future, but it won't be provided in any meaningful amount using solar wind. all these solar/wind projects until now have been heavily subsidised during manufacturing (china) and installation (goverment grants) - none of this money is available now following the appauling goverment mis-management of recent crisis when they told us trust the pyense...and it's the same shower that are involved in egypt which are making policy on climate...these governments are completely out of touch with their people and have no idea what science is.

windfarm and solar are okay if you are using it to charge your phone, but useless for manufacturing.
the only reason the green myth continues to survive is due to the grants and subsidies it gets in manufacturing and installation, none of which get manufactured in this country. ask yourself where the energy sources come manufacture and install these green energy sources and that not saying anything about how enviromentally unfriendly in manfuacture compared to coal/oil/ gas. germany went big on green and where has that got them - they've taken down a wind farm to open a coal mine.

kb, who ever was in charge of putting that rns out should be getting the hair dryer treatment as a minimum. char have dropped the ball a few times unnecessarily and can be their worst enemy. i think it's mostly due to a lack of depth in their organisation and carrying a few passangers.
v, fully onboard. i still have to pinch myself at the potential of this company. it fits my criteria of 'right place, right time with right product'. you can't get a better place for a us national to invest in at the moment given the strategic importance of energy which many countries have made a national security/priority - i think gone are the days when a foreign company could buy 100% of a field without any national holding and zero risk of fields being taken away. it's an enormous field with an infrastructure in place that would be unaffortble today to atleast 75% of oil companys, particularly given the cost of inflation today and issues with supply chain. AND....it's feeding into the largerst consumer of oil in the world. sadly for many in the uk, they have bought into the green/climax oversell (being very polite) and i think this is reflecting in shareprice lag with us.
this could have been a decent rns, but was baddly cobbled and rushed, imo. they should have made sure oort energy website was updated and their twitter feed had atleast one post to give investors researching the oort energy company a warm feel about this news. i would also have liked high government official to have commented on the positive relationship being created between chariot and morroco - some guy from a polytechnic doesn't cut it. bottom line this is just garnish being served(poorly executed) when we want to see the meat and potatoes.
tcb, i couldn't agree more. i think us investors see the true value of this venture (the uk has it's grip on energy self reliance and still cling on to the green myth) - us oil emergency reserves are twindling while opec give the middle finger. the us needs to relaible stream of oil - change in biden regime next week to a maga will see massive support to the us oil industry and dropping weffer green agenda. panr must be sitting on the biggest us field discovered in the last 20 years which can have a material difference the daily oil production.
i think you are right rw, but what ever is holding up the next step into getting the field into production may be out of chariot's hands. if the morrocans are holding out in negoitations (or changing terms of liecence agreement) and if it is anything like doing business in the bazaar, this is going to be a marathon to close out the deal - haggling to morrocans is a national sport .

for those who aren't familiar with stanley meyers..it was a crazy story at the time and covered in tommorow's world
all jokes aside, oort energy do look interesting, but rns has been poorly managed by char, imo. let's hope they do better with the next one. imo, electrode developement is a key technology for creating efficient hydrogen and it certainly news worthy . i did follow the story of steve meyers in the 80s who was an alledged quack that created a car running on hydrogen. he put his invention success down to the electrodes he used which were powered using high frequecy, high voltage low power to split water - from basic science, if credible, he may have been creating some sort of resonance with the hydrogen and oxygen bonds to break water at a lower energy - the same resonance phenomena can be observed with bridges that collapse in low winds......oort enery is one to watch.
thank goodness you have a reliable source. i just tried the oort energy twitter feed, where you would think something like that would be referenced and the news on morroco....and guess what. i guess they are too busy experimenting with each others electrodes to do anything else.
