kb, imo, both parties are have got a case of gollum ring syndrome - the reality check is that this gas field is not going to change the world and they need to get the finger out and sign the agreements. time is marching on and opportunities are being missed that is impacting both parties.
imo, the instrumental reason we got hammered was that shorters got hold of the fact that they knew panr could not get a rig to unblock the well and were aware of the implications - it was going to take weeks to resolve and this gave them the opportuntiy to make the most of the situation to put out doom narritive. ultimately, panr has managed to get production with the plan b strategy and still produce values close to the values predicted. these results will only give futher confidence to interested interested to progress discussions with panr . it's a going to be a big month - hold on to your hats - the rig is coming.....
