from my limited understanding is that the propant is put in place to protect the formation from collapsing at perforation to ensure optimum flow . if the propant has not remained in place it possible formation has been damaged and this will undermine flow rates.
this well is a prototype so it's likely that there will be many learnings for next well.
Report from yesterday on MW
'The move comes as Muddy Waters’ founder Carson Block is being probed by the Justice Department as part of a wide-ranging investigation into short-sellers and hedge funds focused on suspected coordinated manipulative trading.'

j, i agree and that all panr have to achieve at this stage is proof of concept and commercial viability. they are breaking new ground here and with it comes a learnings. last rns gives confidence that we have the flow rates to acheive commercial success and themethod has been vindicated. the fact they have upgraded their production facilities is measure of their belief that they are within touching distance reaching their goal. by q1, imo, a second well have been drilled and data rooms will have opened. with +23 billion barrels at stake, this is going to attract a high level of attention and games.
my approach will be to sell on the news and buy back in after the frenzy on gas - the two critical bits of news that i have my eye on are the gas deal being signed and second will be FID signed - there might not be much space between them. one bit of news that could be a surprise and have a major impact would be drilling into osion.
cleaning is going to be the first step:
Removing Sand or Fill from a Wellbore
The removal of sand or fill from a wellbore is the most common CT operation performed in the field. The process has several names, including sand washing, sand jetting, sand cleanout, and fill removal. The objective of this process is to remove an accumulation of solid particles in the wellbore. These materials will act to impede fluid flow and reduce well productivity. In many cases CT is the only viable means of removing fill from a wellbore. Fill includes materials such as formation sand or fines, proppant flow back or fracture operation screen out, and gravel-pack failures.
The typical procedure involved in this application is to circulate a fluid through the CT while slowly penetrating the fill with an appropriate jetting nozzle attached to the end of the CT string. This action causes the fill material to become entrained in the circulating fluid flow, and is subsequently transported out of the wellbore through the CT/production tubing annulus. Where consolidated fill is present, the procedure may require the assistance of a downhole motor and bit or impact drill.
An alternative fill removal approach is to pump down the CT/production tubing annulus and allow the returns to be transported to surface within the CT string. This procedure, called reverse circulation, can be very useful for removing large quantities of particulate, such as frac sand, from the wellbore. It may also be applied when a particular wellbore configuration precludes annular velocities sufficient to lift the fill material. Reverse circulation is suitable only for dead wells.
for the worriers...

my guess, and not an expert, is they will check perforations and use coil tube to clean and re-apply proppent/cement where appropriate. if there's no flow, acid stimulation will be applied. this is run of the mill operation. with 30 perforations, this is not going to be an over night job.
ant, agree - some nice buys, but volume is nothing...so for. before making any sort of move, i prefer to see the news that gas price has been agreed. at the moment this could easily be somebody trying to telegraph sp so keeping my powder dry until news arrives.
