The market was unforgiving of the fiasco last year and rightly so.

That’s why it remains for most institutional investors a risk until news is confirmed then they’ll load up.

There has been so many stocks gone to the wall in the last couple of years, so ppl are more cautious now than ever, and understand that, just hope AB can cut the deals for genuine investors here.

What I can agree with is that shareholder value has been thrashed downwards since AB has taken over, which is very disappointing.

What I will say is that I firmly believe that the PSC extension will be a formality.

I also believe that the transfer of the NZ assets will go through without any issues,

Now to TL, well as we know it’s all about the politics over there, but this time with Finder involved I am confident it will happen, as to when next year, well it’s guesswork until confirmed.

At the same time, Sunda updated the market on Timor-Leste, where it has signed a letter of intent with Finder to collaborate on a shared drilling campaign. The plan is to secure a semi-submersible rig suitable for Finder’s KTJ wells and Sunda’s Chuditch-2 appraisal well, alongside possible coordination on services and logistics. The trade-off is timing: Chuditch-2, previously targeted for Q2 2026, is now expected to be drilled as early as possible in 2027, and Sunda has asked regulator ANP to extend the PSC beyond its current 18 June 2026 expiry.

Chief executive Andy Butler called the day’s announcements “transformational”, saying the New Zealand assets would complement Sunda’s existing business in Timor-Leste and the Philippines while the Finder tie-up should improve the achievability of Chuditch-2.

"The company can look forward to an exciting and robust future built around a portfolio of New Zealand production, development and exploration assets that are complementary to our existing business in Timor-Leste and the Philippines. Diversifying Sunda's portfolio through this acquisition will enable the company to effectively develop all areas of our business for the benefit of shareholders and host country stakeholders," Sunda chief executive Dr Andy Butler said in a statement.

Timescales :-

4 weeks today the Chuditch PSC extension expires, as Andy stated he was confident that is good enough for me.

Then the bigger update, regarding the LOI with Finder Energy regarding the drill date and associated costs.

And finally confirmation on the NZ assets changing ownership to Sunda.

There is also stuff going on in the background in the Philippines 🇵🇭 assets.

The SP ain’t going to shift much until all those in line are confirmed.

Exciting times ahead and as Andy said last year “shareholder value remains”

We all knew / know the risks vs rewards on a high risk stock.

A junior is always going to be subject to raises, dilutions, and possible CLN's as it grows. This is not going to be a short-term success story.

This is going to take time to build and I believe NZ is just the start.

Andy must be equally as frustrated as all of us re TL, probably why he took the gamble on a 1.5 million loan to ensure Sunda stayed afloat.

Chances are most are at least 30-50% down here already, so just have three choices, cut losses and rainbow chase elsewhere, average down and wait for a better exit point, or just wait it out and see what happens over the 2nd half of this year.

Moaning is not going to make the slightest difference to the SP !
