With the POG heading back towards $1,300 per oz and Sterling dropping 7% against the USD over the last few weeks, it looks like we will at least be getting more GBPs for the gold that is being produced. There is every chance that this will be a very different company in 3-4 months time, but of course to some people that seems like a lifetime so they may well get bored and look elsewhere for a quick fix. Luckily, for others, a few months seem to pass in the blinking of an eye so no problem for them. Who will end up being better off - the impatient or the holders? Only one way to find out - tune-in in September to see for yourself.

Good morning GW. Not so sure about that, there does seem to be an awful lot of egg in AIM companies. My understanding is that Colin was due to go to China recently to 'finalise' talks with a world class mining contractor. I also understand that the same contractor was playing hard ball - wanting to carry out the hard rock mining using a plant built to their own design and that this is not acceptable to CB as he wants them to build a plant built to our design that will be able to extract a lot more of the harder-to-get-to gold. Sounds like a bit of a David and Goliath situation to me that may take a little longer to resolve than Colin expected? As with the alluvials, the final contract will have to protect the interests of XTR and we do have the advantage that the contractor is really keen to get started on FB, so I am not worried if it takes a little longer to get it right. Luckily CB has plenty of alluvial pebbles to use as ammo for his sling-shot!

Is due for publication next week. Things should be a lot clearer this time next week....

Hello IAD. Yes and no. CB is certainly very risk averse and that would indicate that he agrees with you. On the other hand our chief engineer is itching to get his hands on one of the alluvial sites and that would give more profit. Who knows?

Hello GW, Yes that was the impression I got when I spoke to CB at the show, but maybe he was a bit down on MOZ that day? I still think the most likely outcome will be that MOZ disappears from the picture, but I also think that CB is a rational man and that he will do what he can to help them to be successful before pulling the plug all together. My personal opinion would be that it is better for XTR in the short term if MOZ can get their act together as they must owe us millions of dollars by now and they would have to repay this. On the other hand, seizing the plant and either going it alone or in partnership with another contractor would deliver more profit in the medium term. Either way, a good place to be in for XTR. Whatever CB decides to do, I believe it will be finalised before the AGM, so only a few weeks to wait before we find out.

I agree. Site conditions have been particularly bad and we know that MOZ wrote off both a huge dump truck and an excavator in an horrendous collision during the worst of the rains. These things happen and it takes time to recover from them. There is no point in CB becoming all contractual with MOZ as this really does not help to move things forward. Better to help get their feet firmly back on the ground and give them the opportunity to prove themselves, because if they do, it means a lot of cash income to XTR. Of course if MOZ can't get it together then there will be no other choice but to kick them into touch, seize their remaining plant and go on without them. But isn't it so much easier for all concerned if MOZ can be helped to live up to original expectations? Give them a break....

Agreed. With a JORC that gives a discounted current NPV of about �550M and with strong indications that this is likely to be increased with additional drills - this really is a world class play and should ultimately be worth at least �70M to BZT shareholders IMHO. Beauty is that 80% of the work has already been done here, all we have to do is prove up the additional reserves then sell it on to an asset-hungry major. Well worth buying into if you don't mind waiting a year or two for the endgame, but even if only interested in short term gain, not sure there is anywhere to but up from the present level...all IMO of course, but i really do not think there is anything else with such realisable potential on AIM - and word is only just beginning to spread. Next RNS should contain more concrete facts and timelines and that could help to get BZT noticed by a wider market...

There is virtually no chance that a minnow like BZT could take on anything the size of Mankayan, and CB has said as much himself. If greater resources can be proven and then sold for 10%-20% of discounted NPV then I think we would all be happy.

Don't kid yourself. If Colin et al want cheap shares they can always arrange for a massive share issue at a considerable discount to the market price and this is the real power he wields over a hostile take-over. I have known Colin personally for some time now and I think I know him well enough to believe that he will not sell we shareholders short. The fact that CB has got so much skin in the game is a testament to the considerable upside that exists here...

Certainly some good buys coming through at the moment. One or two people are building quite a considerable position IMHO.

Looks like there is a bit more interest here today. With major players declaring they are actively looking for major copper plays and Mankayan being one of the biggest around with known reserves and a wealth of previous exploration results, it must be one of the best bets for near term discussions? Time for CB &Co to send off a few emails to his old mates?

Can't be the first to cast stones myself Andrew, as I made a very similar mistake in one of my recent posts. Speaking personally all these zeros can be very confusing... I guess we are lucky in that so many zeros are involved in the first place with our income predictions. LOL.

Andrew, I would prefer an honest bumbler any day over a pollished tur-d. Particularly if that bumbler happens to have the shareholders interests at heart and be syrategically sound...
