Yes, you are correct regarding the total amount of unsold gold, but do not forget that Explorator only gets 40% of the gold for the first three quarters ( Q4 2017, and Q1+Q2 for 2018) and 50% of the gold for the last two quarters ( Q3 and Q4 2018).

Is now back at the Q1 2018 level - when we sold our gold for an average of $1,060 per oz.

So perhaps now would be a good time to sell that 170 oz CB is keeping under the bed?

$180,000 income from gold sales plus the $75,000 down payment going into the XTR bank account would do wonders for morale here in the short term.

I am not sure if I am reading the same RNS as everybody else?

A cursory analysis of the RNS that I read says that Explorator has made a $28,000 net operational cash profit in Q4, making the net cash operational profit for the year about $19,000 in total.

Then there is the 170+ oz of gold that belongs to Explorator, but was not sold - so if that were sold today, it would net over $175,000, sold in the local market.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that Explorator has paid the 6%production tax for the entire weight of gold produced rather than just the amount sold - so all of the money received from the sale of the stock-piled gold will go direct to the bottom line.

So the net profit made by Explorator in 2018, including cash and unsold gold will be in excess of $194,000.

That is not a bad profit to get from a single processing plant in it's first full year of production IMO.

Explorator costs will only increase marginally once Sino II start production from 2 plants so the cash received from the vast majority of the extra gold produced will drop directly to the bottom line.

This means that 2019 is almost certainly going to see the entire company overhead of XTR covered by alluvial production alone!

How many other AIM mining companies with a market cap under £4M can say that?

It would certainly make sense to give a comprehensive update on all fronts at the same time.

In the meantime the POG being well in excess of $1,300 does us no harm at all - particularly if we have been stockpiling our share of the gold as some have been saying...

If you need about a 200% increase in SP to break even, that means you, too, are roughly 70% down, as are many of we long term holders. In fact there are a good number of us that would love to need only a 200% increase to break even, so I would say you are in a good place!
This is an indication of the way the SP has dramatically dropped over the last year or so in defiance of all logic other than poor management by a distracted chairman.

However things are coming together now and there is absolutely no reason why LTHs should not make a good profit here, but it will need a little more patience IMHO.

I very much hope mot. The MOZ plant was problematical because the alluvial gold was too fine for it to separate. Also it was worth over $2M so I would hope we would either sell it or or offer it in return for a larger slice of the pie.
IMHO Sino II will probably have supplied both their plants.

A point to note is that for a second plant to be fully commissioned and functional in just 9 days time means that it will have been around for some time already and that it will, in all likelihood, have been operational for at least part of Q4. This may mean that the Q4 results could be better than expected - I can dream!

Looks like 0.89p to buy now, so definitely moving in the right direction.

If the SP can get above 1p then I think the increase will give enough momentum to fuel a re-rate. It will probably take some good news from Sino II, but not long to wait now...
