@Joesnatch - It may be the mix of both, the mask wearing and following of rules.
I believe the majority here follow rules too. Most people I see wear masks. Give space.
Shame about the few though. They tend to be loud about it too. The "rules are not for us" attitude of those in power and in high positions don't help either.

@Joesnatch - I hope people make it a habit on hygiene. Personally mask wearing is still a bit uncomfortable, especially when it keeps fogging up my glasses but I do wear it. Not sure if I'll keep wearing masks personally but I try my best to pay conscious attention to how I wash my hand. Not just run it under the tap.

Maybe a look at far East may give some idea. There, people tend to wear masks in public more often ever since the SARS epidemic. Maybe that will be the case with some.

@maddog - True. Haven't really read in the Chinese expansion in the Pacific. And I agree with you about how clever they are and you are right on taking over the world as well, in terms of influence.

But I also think there is this realisation about the Chinese influence amongst some African nations and they are trying to move away from it but it could be a bit too late for them. More South East Asian countries are just starting now though, relatively speaking, in terms of borrowing from China.

@maddog - Agree with your point on Chinese take over of commodities in undeveloped & developing countries (A soft invasion as per me where China loans money for infrastructure projects, and takes over key infrastructures, in a way that most of the money loaned actually goes back to China).

But I also think China is looking within itself, trying to create a local consumer market to match that in Western Europe and North America so that it isn't as reliant on exports for its economical growth. This maybe the reason behind the demand for iron etc. But they already have a lot of white elephant projects too.

I see that this board has been poorer since @FrankieH left, in both losing someone who spread positivity and gaining more negativity (by that I mean posters and posts that seem to carry personal vendetta against posters, not that people shouldn't point out any wrongs in statements made or cite any warning signs etc).

You not being here would make it even poorer.
