Good discussions as usual on this BB. I confess it was me doing some selling yesterday, but still have a considerable holding.

I have a slightly different take on what is slowing things down. The general assumption on this BB seems to be that the Chinese will not buy out NCCL until Tariff, etc, are all agreed, and a sensible price can then be put on NCCL share of the project. Yes, that is how we would do it in the Western world, but Im not so sure that is the way the Chinese would do things.

I have worked as a Geo in several FTSE listed resource companies, and been involved in a number of M&A projects with Chinese companies. My experience is that Chinese logic is quite different to FTSE logic! My suspicion is that the Chinese have already started negotiating buyout of NCCL (hence all the talk of 'sensitivity'), and this is how I interpreted the statement 'it does not take a genius to work it out' that Extrader quoted in his 09.54 post yesterday. The Chinese can be ruthless and drive hard deals - I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese have observed NCCL basement SP, and just decided to swoop on NCCL now, before all the pricing elements of the project are closed-out.

IF Kefi does manage to get the Ethiopian project producing in next few years, just think how this timing compares to gold price predictions in last five minutes of this video.

OB1973 / Freebuffet - you two seem to be the most active posters on this BB. Can one of you please explain where the £621mln award comes from? Moz is one of the poorest countries on the planet, and no one seems to have a clue about TZM capital status, so where will the money come from? Or maybe the most likely answer is won’t, so that increases likelihood of licence being returned.

Even more worrying is that SF has stopped buying even at these basement prices!

I01 - similar to a scenario I was thinking about, but this prompted the question I asked yesterday - what is TZM MC and how much compensation can they afford to pay?

My gut feel is that the 'time sensitive' period is 3 months, only because this appears to be a common 'heads-up' period referenced in resource industry (in which I work) legal documents. Im probably wrong - but like to give my expectations a timeline.

If TZM was incorporated with purpose of taking ownership of the licence (would account for zero internet hits), then the value of TZM is basically the value of the licence. So, if there is a settlement (via BIT or otherwise), how does TZM pay settlement to PFP?

Maybe already mentioned on this BB, but does anyone know market cap of TZM? Are they a small minnow outfit, or a major with deep pockets?

Very interesting - "Both Eckhof and Gasson are also assisting the company (ASX listed Latitude Consolidated) to identify further project acquisition opportunities in southern and eastern Africa". Pretty clear why Eckhof has acquired 3% of PFP!

The £11k is me, and is a buy.

Current £9mln MC is about right for the Solar business. Market not assigning any value to the coal project. Surprised that SF isn't scooping up shares at this level.

Would be interesting to see how much appetite SF has for more shares!

We will probably learn tomorrow that someone at EDM has been fired for disclosing sensitive information!

Excellent posts today. If L&T have been awarded the transmission line contract, and not CMEC, is there a risk that this somehow devalues the coal project for CMEC? Keep up the good posts.

Where the RNS mentions 'time sensitive' it implies that TZM have a specified period of time to agree a deal. Im not clear what the deadline date is, and what is it? Any thoughts?
