Teacup - ANRM are not issuing a licence - they are approving an association of one (which has not been done in recent times) - I take your point though and they will obviously try to do it within the legal term.

adam - acquiring the BPPM licence association has taken 3.5 years - AP has no control over the speed the RomGov/ANRM process applications, he can only control what VAST do.

The RomGov and ANRM are supposed to work within a "Legal Term" of 30 working days - he has used this to give dates if the do not adhere to the timescale he can sue but (as of today) ANRM are not late!

It makes no difference to AP at what share price he converts, only the value of the various assets VAST has compared to the value of AP groups assets.
There is absolutely no motivation for AP to manipulate the share price - please your being silly now!

According to AP ANRM have until today to approve the licence association - so we may not get an RNS until the morning, (not saying we will) but time has not run out yet!

Certainly possible - Marange , last concession produced $15bn+ (according to Mugabe and his wife should know). our current one (well we did have the last as well!) is potentially bigger. Remin, AP says the 5 mines (we are initially looking at) have a NPV of $1.6bn and there are 55 to go at, Zagra is potentially a $2bn+ mine (thats for Magura Neagra just half of the total area) and Picoural Zimbrulea could match it, so possibly $4bn?

However the Zagra project will be a few years in the making and will gain value as it is moves towards mining.

If it proves to be as big as it's potential (biggest Cu mine in Europe) then it could be worth several hundred million $ to VAST even if a JV partner pays for it all to earn in.

IMO Zagra, Marange and the Remin mines have equal potential IMO - however Marange wins for me right now, it is near term and could be worth $billions.

If you add all those 3 together - they could lead to an MC of a $billion for VAST.

Bat, I am not saying there will not be a delay, there could be, but the time to think about that is not until Wednesday close. AP stated "legal term" is up to and inc. 18th Sept - they are not late as yet and if they overrun it matters little.

As I keep stating we have waited 3.5 years plus for this and another few days makes no odds to me - all the traders will have bailed ages ago and I don't think anyone actually believes it will come within legal term - so IMO we will not drop into the .4's.

ANRM still have 2 days to grant the association and be on time - I doubt they will take much longer and I am sure we will get an update from VAST if they do.

2P as you say, we won the tender process [though who else could have entered it is confusing as we own the mine:-) ] but it is just an expense until we get the licence.

I think some believe we will never get the BPPM licence in any form, I was just trying to assure those people that AP will succeed.

I do not think the authorities are playing games (it's just the way they work), there is a very good chance we will get it next week and maybe by Tuesday close.

I am confident and have always been confident we will get the BPPM licence - there is only one reason for this confidence - Andrew Prelea.

There may have been opportunities to have acquired the license in the past but due to circumstances at those times the opportunities were missed. The difference at this point is that AP is in control (bear in mind he has only been a BoD member since March !st this year). Also consider AP Group own 20% of BPPM, so he is highly motivated at a personal level.

If you have spoken to Andrew (as I have at length) you will understand he will never give up on it and will not be stopped by any obstacle in his way. The fact this has become such a big thing for VAST (and his reputation as CEO) will make him even more determined.

Well he stated VAST can sue, but unless ANRM are not cooperating or refuse to communicate then it's unlikely in the very near term.

They are not late yet and if they run over by a few days/week there is no point.

If no confirmation from ANRM, I should think the company will issue an RNS by Wednesday, if only to say it's all going well just a small delay (as usual in Rom!)

Todd - all mining licences go through ANRM - that was the main point of getting Faneata IMO, to prove we could.

Pepco I think Faneata could be viable when BPPM is running and we have cash to build a concentrator at the tailings to reduce the amount of material trucked to BP for processing - but it's for the future IMO.

From the info we have the processing equipment needs maintenance at BP,the mining will probably start before the processing is ready, therefor I can't see them doing Faneata now - to be honest IMO it was just PR to prove we could get a licence for BP - there maybe value if we can process the tailings with the main ROM from BP but it needs transporting maybe 7-10 km to be processed
