RE: Alluvial Diamond RNS25 Oct 2018 20:36
I don't think anyone can judge what effect the diamond mining will have it depends on what we start mining with - small scale at first then using revenues to upscale production would seem the most likely.
If the new concession is anywhere near as good as our "heritage" one was then it is potentially worth a $bn+ NPV. The problem with alluvials is you cannot easily estimate them, but from all accounts there are probably millions of carats on the concession as it is a large area.
If it all goes well I could see it possibly adding $2-300 mil tops to the MC to vast by this time next year and more likely £50-100 mil. Based on current shs in issue (inc 850 mil headroom), anything between .7p and 5p?
There are so many variables though it's impossible to be accurate - we haven't signed the contract with Red Mercury yet.
I am not concerned about the lack of cash though - I am confident we will get Mercuria tranche B soon (up to $5.5 mil) and that will give us the cash to move things on until we get an II to buy a chunk of the headroom we voted for.
I also think the outlook for copper is excellent and if there is an economic/currency crisis no doubt gold will go up as a safe haven?
The point is we still have much to look forward to without Marange - PPM/Zagra/Remin/Blueberry/PP/Eureka/Giant...
